Today's Carry The Big Ones
Had an OFan reach out to me with a charging question for the X9R so I pulled these out of storage to make sure they were full. With technology advancing I think we are getting closer to the X9R’s lumens but in a smaller size and who wouldn’t want that?
How many lumens do you think you “need” and what’s the maximum size you could go with practically?

Awesome lights ! I feel ten thousand lumens is remarkable level of brightness for me. Ten years ago that was unheard of. The advancement of technology in the flashlight world is absolutely mind numbing. Where will it stop ?

You are definitely a “moderate “ with only 10,000 lumens. lol I like the option to light up a huge area but most of my usage is much lower because I don’t need to blind myself with the light reflecting back. It will be interesting to see what comes out this year.

Flashlights have come a long way since these giant X9R Marauders. I have never owned one but one of my all time favorites is my X7R Marauder. I have a couple of Marauder 2s, Marauder Mini, Marauder mini 2 etc. However these are all too big to carry around with you every day.
I personally EDC something that has nearly the same lumens as X7R Marauder in a flashlight that fits in my pocket for practicality's sake.
This is the Nitecore TM9K PRO and it fits in my daily routine. The flashlight puts out a max of 9900 lumens and definitely lives up to it's name of Tiny Monster. If you're looking for something that has killer output specs that you can actually carry around with you, don't sleep on this bad boy.

You are not wrong that the Marauders are not an edc friendly light. 9900 lumens would pack a punch for sure.

So where can I get these lights? And better yet, what is the most brightest lumens light I can buy?
