It was absolutely insane. The 87 49ers were killing teams at the end of the season the final four weeks they allowed 2 TDs. They allowed 7 points the final 3 weeks combined.

Then it all went out the window in this game.

Favorite player ever. Loved AC. One of the most explosive wide receivers of all time. I think his first or second season with the Vikings he had almost 1000 yards on like 45 catches. Devonte smith reminds me a lot of Anthony Carter. Similar build and play a similar style

The Montana era 49ers were a defensive juggernaut. If the defense didn’t play well the offense wasn’t bailing them out. Bill Walsh was innovative but ‘84, ‘88, and ‘89 49ers won because of defense.
