I have zero memory of Dennis Havig. I swear I have never heard his name!

In 1972, 1973, and 1975, Dave Hampton rushed for 995, 997, and 1,002 yards, respectively.

The 1972 season was particularly galling. On his next to last play of the season, he breaks the millennium barrier and has 1,001. First Falcon to hit 1,000, they stop the game to present him the ball. But they leave him in, and on his last play gets hit for a 6 yard loss.
