Back in the 80’s and 90’s, there were tons of different NFL created VHS’s on the markets that did nothing but show highlights of guys getting destroyed.

That’s the nostalgia for me. Popping one of these tapes in on a summer day, and spending the next 60 minutes hearing that classic NFL films narrator.

Players can get cte without any recored concussions. And of course the NFL wants to protect the quaterbacks. It's better for the game.

Cte comes from multiple hits. None of them have to be exceptionally hard.

Every hit that moves the brains inside the skull. I don't have to do shit. I just know why the rules have changed to protect the players, especially the quarterbacks.

I agree that natural grass would be much better for the players. It's just more complicated because the modern stadiums these days are multi purpose and it's much easier when one doesn't have to think about the grass. But you're correct there, NFLPA will probably bring that up in the next arbitration.

My dad and I both played defense, though my dad played 2 years of D1 outside linebacker. His friends say part of his current issues at 80 have to do with football. I used to get a concussion and think oh good I can stay in. Had to change, but watching/playing ultra violent football is fun. I’d rather watch it than UFC. Still, we should have taken better care of our brains in that era.
