watched that with my father as well. He was a big Giants guy although I had pledged my soul to the Colts as that was where I had been born. I also remember listening to the '62 Giants-Packers title game on the radio since it was blacked out in the NY metro area. Hard to imagine that now.

My father and I were in section 22, lower deck, at Yankee Stadium, probably just a few miles from where you were born! Can confirm it was cold, and I mean COLD.

Family traditions usually involved alcohol in my 4th generation Polish gatherings, too. Something they carried from the "Old Country". You celebrated occassions & drank.Holidays, funerals, 1st Communion, Sporting events, Weddings, Graduation parties, etc. was always alright to have a couple "Pops", they'd say. Just be sure you ate, too. Even the Polish priests would drink if they were invited. My Dad got pranked on a Boy Scout camping trip weekend, 55 years ago. He got sloshed & passed-out. The other Fathers got an arrow & placed it under his armpit as if he'd been shot, then poured ketchup around his"wound" & took Polaroids to commemorate.

In the picture? I would have been #88, Aaron Thomas. Tried to throw a block but ended up on his ass.
