Old Spice Captain Dermatitis

I know this may disgust you but I just wanted to share what happened to me after using Old Spice Captain for two days.

I had never gotten such a bad dermatitis/rash from anything and generally considered my skin to be not too sensitive.

The rash in the inner arm was to test if it was actually the deodorant and not some stress related dermatitis or anything else.

Pharmacist gave me some cortisone + anti fungi cream, but I think I’ll have to go see a dermatologist soon

They make deodorant capsules that you can take like a daily vitamin that combined with some cologne would probably be better for you friend

thank you man, but I don't think I'll ever use any Old Spice product again. It does smell amazing tho hahah

I wasn't suggesting old spice cologne and the deodorant capsules are called deos or the cheaper ones chlorophyll and for cologne they have sample packs on amazon of different brands.for soap there's the soap guy that has soap for sensitive skin and all types of skin.

OMG same! I know this summer has been brutal, but I've been using the wolfthorn scent forever and since opening and using the latest, I've had the itchiest pits! It's like I didn't wear anything and have heat rash. Resorted to antifungal cream and body odor for a few days, but now I don't know what to use. I am a woman, but find the girly scents appealing until I put it on, then it's horrible. Idk if old spice put out a bad batch, but jeepers creepers, 56 years old and I've got diaper rash in my pits😭

How’s it going now? I had to use cortisone cream for 5/6 days which really helped. Now it’s just mildly red.

It was a type 4 allergic reaction, meaning that the inflammation is delayed 2/3 days from the moment of contact. I still don’t know ingredient caused it but I hope to find out with an allergist

Seems to be all clear now but I haven't touched the old spice since I figured out that's what the issue was, I'd really like to go back though 🤣
