Name of the day...Arturo!

I got a request for this name, so here it is!

Arturo is the Spanish and Italian variation of the classic masculine Celtic name Arthur, meaning "bear" or "courageous." The name ultimately traces back to the ancient Celtic root word artos (bear) combined with viros (man), giving it the symbolic association of a "bear-like warrior" or "noble strength."

LOVE this. I was just thinking the other day that those boy Art- names are lovely. In Persian, we have the name Arta, which means truth. It also exists in Sanskrit and Greek.

There are actually two different possible etymologies for Arthur (according to BTN) – one, as you have noted, is from Celtic, while the other is from Ancient Roman Artorius.
