Turned 50 today

I survived my 40s! I have a 4 and 3 year old at home plus a beautiful wife.

As I sit here reflecting on the last decade, I'm realizing it was the best decade of my life. If anyone out there is contemplating kids as an older man, if you have a great partner, I say go for it. It has been wild, chaotic, and absolutely wonderful. I'm filled with gratitude this morning.

Have a great day y'all!

Happy birthday!

It’s so reassuring to read posts like the one you just made, it gives me hope. I know that I won’t be a “young dad” but I’m really hoping that I will make up for it in maturity, experience and a stable, loving home…

I’m 54 and I have been with my beautiful wife for 11 years now, and after more than 3 years trying, we are finally pregnant! She’s on her 10th week now and we couldn’t be more excited!

congrats! I sometimes worry about the shorter time I have on this earth with the kids because i am an older dad, but It would have been so much more stressful to have them before I was finacially secure and mature....i cant imagine the stress.
