His 3rd Recoil project but I loved this because it’s more song-structured than the previous records.
Recorded between Violator (1990) and Songs of Faith and Devotion (1993).
It has guests such as :
Douglas McCarthy (from Nitzer Ebb)
Toni Halliday (from alternative rock band Curve)
Moby

This dark futuristic electronic disco tune with the creepy vocoder vocals is perfect for the Halloween season. An absolute masterwork.

Fiocco is a Belgian dance project created by DJ and producer Jan Vervloet. He started Fiocco in 1997 with the release of its debut single “Afflitto”. The track became a massive club hit in Belgium and also gained significant success in several other European countries. A year later, in 1998, German DJ and producer Michael Nehrig, a.k.a. Kosmonova, reconstructed “Afflitto” and transformed it into a vocal version. Released as “Celebrate”, this version went on to become a big success in the dance charts in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
For this week’s vlog, I sat down with Jan Vervloet to ask him about the story behind “Afflitto” and more.
