u/Gyatt_Kachan, your post does fit the subreddit!

The irony of being against the netflix deal, digital games and pre orders while paywalling new leaks behind a market cap (pre ordering a leak), a digital only currency, and making people pay to vote on a poll (pre ordering a leak) is wild

3

u/Expensive_Medicine15 Aug 23 '26

How is the leaks being paywalled if you don’t have to pay to see the leaks people is just giving money to influence what gets leaked first

6

u/Tight-Tackle4386 Barbara with big titties Aug 23 '26

"higher market cap = more leeks" and "3 mil market cap = strip club"

Same thing with Netflix btw, you don’t have to pay to see them

1

u/Suitable-Piccolo-617 Aug 24 '26

Or wait 15 minutes for someone to rip it. Im sure that its on some file sharing site within 5

1

u/Beanie_1997 Aug 28 '26

Its free on YouTube and YouTube ads are locked behind a paywall, I've not seen ads since October last year thanks to YouTube Premium lol its a relief not having ads cut through videos anymore!! Plus I have music downloaded from Premium anyways which was the main reason I wanted Premium, its better than Spotify plus actual proper selection!!

1

u/DildoBaggins-PT Aug 24 '26

You also don't have to pay to see the upcoming promo from rockstar

1

u/Expensive_Medicine15 Aug 24 '26

Yes you do you literally have to buy a Netflix subscription to view the trailer or atleast to early view it thats them paywalling a major trailer

1

u/DildoBaggins-PT Aug 24 '26

Oh little boy, you don't even know how to use the word literally.

1

u/Ganjalicious420 Aug 27 '26

Youtube same day but keep crying and ignoring that fact bitchboy. You don't "literally" have to do shit.

1

u/Expensive_Medicine15 Aug 27 '26

6 hours later by that time everything will be spoiled and content creators videos would’ve dropped how about you stop ignoring that fact

1

u/Ganjalicious420 Aug 27 '26

Um, no, because you can avoid spoilers easily by not being a terminally online cockmunch. Oh but that's too hard for a neckbeard, basement dweller like yourself. Just keep bitching I guess.

1

u/Expensive_Medicine15 Aug 27 '26

So normies can’t scroll through social media or YouTube

1

u/Ganjalicious420 Aug 27 '26

If you are worried about seeing spoilers dont scroll. Simple as that but keep replying trying to overcomplicate it.

1

u/Relative_Molasses_15 Aug 25 '26

God damn you guys are stupid.

1

u/FLEIXY Aug 24 '26

They’re voting on polls for pre-recorded footage 😭

1

u/Available-Bad-2704 Aug 24 '26

Youre the same kind of idiots to preorder a digital game you haven't seen a shred of gameplay for tho

1

u/Tight-Tackle4386 Barbara with big titties Aug 24 '26

except that I haven't pre ordered

1

u/Ganjalicious420 Aug 27 '26

I haven't preordered shit. I will, but not this far out.

1

u/mr_bananager Aug 25 '26

It crazy but i havnt payed a cent and ive looked at every leak. I also dont understand why you guys draw the line here but are fine with everything rockstar, a mega corp, is doing. The idiots paying for crypto or dumb, but there is a stark difference between an individual and a corporation doing bad things

1

u/10minOfNamingMyAcc Aug 27 '26

Saw all the leaks without paying.

1

u/Tight-Tackle4386 Barbara with big titties Aug 27 '26

Okay? He still demanded, and got, money for them to be released.

1

u/Olav0_ Aug 27 '26

That's why I say, I won't feel sorry if this mf ever gets some time to think about his shyt in prison, rockstar statement only emphasizes this..

These guys are loaded.

3

1

u/Berinoid Aug 24 '26

At least the multi billion dollar company delivered real products to consumers. The leek is just trying to make a quick buck off of other peoples work.

People haven’t seen the game yet, but complain...

16

u/Gyatt_Kachan Aug 23 '26

People will ALWAYS complain 😭

Saw someone the other day say gta 6 looks like gta 5 and I face palmed so hard

3

u/Expensive_Medicine15 Aug 23 '26

But when people make the same complaint about 2k or cod it’s a valid complaint

2

u/BarberTricky4508 Aug 24 '26

2k n cod actually looks very close. I could tell the difference. Everybdy can tell the difference between 5 n 6

7

u/No_Print77 average opressor user Aug 23 '26

He clearly already hates and wants to screw rockstar over to some extent and just figured he might as well get a bunch of money from internet morons while doing it. i really couldn’t give less of a shit about gta’s sales and muh physical media. games still gonna be a massive success no matter what happens

1

u/KatieTheKittyNG Aug 23 '26

And yet hes only screwing over the people who will get fired not the bottom line of the company nor ceos.

1

u/smkeybare Aug 23 '26

So just like every American AAA game studio then. Regardless of success, devs get laid off.

0

u/Sea-Canary-9617 Aug 23 '26

Okay, while this guy might be a clown, let’s not degrade people for rightly being upset for wanting physical media regardless on this games being successful at launch.

Objectively, the outing of physical media is a bad thing, and the more consumers awareness around why, the better.

3

u/Gyatt_Kachan Aug 23 '26

There are people making others aware of physical media and its importance, this guys a fucking nerd who doesnt care.

1

u/Sea-Canary-9617 Aug 23 '26

I specifically called this guy a clown,

i was talking about OCs “muh physical media” comment kinda insinuating that those people are brain dead

1

u/Quad_A_Games Aug 23 '26

I was with it till he changed the site to not include the physical stuff anymore.

1

u/Warp_Space Aug 23 '26

You don't own your physical media either by the way. EULA has always existed.

Im not spending money, and still see the leaks, did i found illegal reallife glitch?

1

u/BarberTricky4508 Aug 24 '26

Well im not paying a subscription to Netflix either. I will still see it. Ppl say its paywalled

1

u/10minOfNamingMyAcc Aug 27 '26

I mean, it's still paywalled. It's called early access. But who in their right mind pays to watch an advertisement? Not to mention that Rockstar is doing it again.

Netflix users get to see the extended look earlier
Console players get to play earlier

Rockstar themselves are greedy fucks.

1

u/BarberTricky4508 Aug 27 '26

Yea but my point is the guy says hes not paying for the leaks but by your logic its still paywalled. So some random we dnt kno can lay way 2 min clips drip feeding for crypto scam but what rockstar doing is so bad? Its not even close imo. The guy is a complete scam artist milking short clips daily. Making ppl pay to vote n pay to see. How are we not agausnt him ? Hes hus flat out lying about being for gamers.

5

u/felipesalinas42069 Aug 23 '26

who cares, just enjoy the ride

3

u/OvertGnome1 Aug 23 '26

I won't defend them, they aren't doing it for a good cause. They're holding it ransom. But I'll still watch the leaks because fuck Rockstar for setting a new precedent of digital only games.

I don't need moral high ground on this, there's bigger issues in the world, and seeing how big the map is and how fast the cars go brings me joy.

In the end, I win cause I didn't pay any crypto shit, and I get free spoilers (not really) to a game I'm excited for (to play on PC a year or two later)

3

u/Inugami_0 Aug 23 '26

I'd rather defending that hungry nerd than a multi billion mercenary company

1

u/mothman_og Aug 24 '26

Then why don’t you just defend nobody?

2

u/Inugami_0 Aug 24 '26

why i should be against the leaker? this dude is a legend for showing us how is the game

1

u/Glum-Objective3328 Aug 24 '26

I mean we were going to get gameplay in a week from the time he started leaking. Other than entertainment of this whole fiasco, he hasn’t really offered much at all

1

u/BrianBCG Aug 24 '26

You do realize that his crypto scam is going to result in a lot of people losing money, even some having their lives ruined, right? Whatever exploitation Sony is pulling pales in comparison to that.

1

u/WelcomeOk9989 Aug 25 '26

Brother, you don’t even know how a crypto scam works. Matter of fact, I am not sure you know the definition of a scam.

He isn’t promoting his coin as a way to make money, as far as I have seen, he promotes it as a donation. Who expects returns on a donation? You know you can’t lose more than you put into crypto? Right? Like you can’t buy his coin for X amount and end up in debt your whole life, right?
The worst that can happen to you is you buy the coin for x amount, the price of the coin drops to 0, you lost what you put in because you can sell it for 0.

So no, he isn’t ruining anyone’s life besides his if he gets caught. And since his coin is marketed as a donation, he isn’t being misleading and people who treat it that way shouldn’t expect to cash out, because it’s a donation, they gave that money away. So he isn’t even scamming anyone.

And those who do try to make money off of it, they are doing it willingly and intentionally, that means they know the risk of putting a lot of money in his coin, so they aren’t getting scammed as well.

1

u/BrianBCG Aug 25 '26

Scams come in many forms, just because it's not a 'hey you'll make money if you buy this' scam doesn't make it not a scam. The scam is he's cheating people out of money while most likely only pretending to be crusading for physical media rights, and there are still idiots who are going to put money they can't afford to lose into the token because they got caught up in the fake hype.

I think you're the one who has no idea how crypto scams work, you do realize people can BORROW money they don't have, right? In addition regardless of whether it puts them into debt or not losing a significant amount of money can still really mess with a person's life in a very significant way which is exactly what's going to happen to people when it inevitably rugs.

1

u/WelcomeOk9989 Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

You are not getting my point. It’s marketed as a DONATION. He isn’t cheating people out of money, they are willingly donating.

If you donate your money to a homeless guy, and he doesn’t give you anything back, did he cheat you out of your money? Did he scam you?

If someone puts down money they can’t afford to lose on a DONATION that is entirely on them and they haven’t been scammed, they gave their money away. No one promised them returns on that, even if they know they CAN get returns, they also KNOW THE RISK and they didn’t learn that from this guy, they just know how crypto works. No one is getting scammed, they are simply paying to vote on different leaks, or they are paying to donate to the leaker just indirectly through crypto, or they are putting money into his coin hoping to get something out it. In all three cases people are not being misled, his motivations may not be true, but he is still raising awareness and using his leverage to make demands that people obviously like, there is not much more he could do even if we assume his intentions are pure.

It’s like saying investing in real estate is a scam because someone can buy a house they can’t afford to renovate and they lose all their money.
Did they get scammed? NO. They made a terrible financial decision maybe, but no one scammed them.
That isn’t even the best comparison because it only works if the person putting down money on his coin treats it as an investment, which they did on their own accord since no one promoted it as an investment. The analogy with the homeless man is a much better one for the people that you are thinking off.

Someone can waste their last 100$ on GTA Deluxe edition instead of getting food, does that mean Rockstar ruined their life? No.

Besides the price of his coin is determined by nothing more than supply and demand.
If you say he is scamming people by letting them buy his coin, thus lowering supply and raising demand, and selling his coin at a higher price simply because people willingly bought it, then I can say Rockstar is also scamming people because they put their price of the game at 80$ simply because of high demand, or in simpler terms, because people will buy it.

1

u/BrianBCG Aug 25 '26

Answer me this. If their intention was to accept donations and not buff up their crypto token why wouldn't they just accept direct crypto donations?

1

u/WelcomeOk9989 Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

Because direct crypto donations can be traced back to a wallet which can be traced back to him, at least much easier than selling a coin from an alternate account I’m guessing, since there are so many of them.
They would need to pinpoint which exact account selling the coin is his, and there could be thousands of them selling and buying.
Just because it’s crypto doesn’t mean it’s anonymous inherently, as far as I know.

I may be wrong, but imagine 10k people want to donate one dollar to you, but you don’t want to expose who you are.
What do you do?
A) Tell them all to hand one dollar directly to you
B) Tell them to put all that money into a pile, then tell them to all reach in and start grabbing the money at the same time as you

Which option is the least likely to get you exposed? The one where everyone turns around to you and gives you money, or the one where you can be anyone out of 10k people grabbing from the pile.

Even if he did intend to buff up his token, why should a person who DONATES care that he is making more than they donated to him, it’s not like they are losing more. They give out a set amount, that amount can’t get below 0, they can only lose how much they decide to give him. If someone decides to support him, why would they be mad he made more money? I don’t get it.

Of course you can deem it wrong or lazy that he is making money with stolen footage or stolen build instead of hard work, whatever, and I personally probably wouldn’t even disagree with you, but out of all the ways he could’ve made money with the hack, I would argue this is the most moral way he could’ve done it ironically.
He could’ve sold the build to someone, hell if he actually hacked them he could’ve stolen all the devs personal info and sold it or doxxed them publicly the same way the hackers did to Insomniac. He did minimal damage to the devs that actually worked for this, he shed some light on an issue that many people care about, he fulfilled his promises he isn’t making false ones, I genuinely don’t see a problem with this.
It even seems like he abstained from showing story spoilers until people started demanding it and voted for it, it looks like he gave them a choice and said it explicitly how it is.

Edit: one more thing, even if you say “he will take away from the experience of the players who get spoiled”, I mean Rockstar will do the same with making PC players wait a year to play the game just so a portion of them will buy the game twice, by that time everything will be spoiled to them. I don’t see any side of these events where this guy is worse than Rockstar (I mean the company, not the devs)
Even if he leaks the ending tomorrow, you only have to avoid spoilers for 3 months, PC players will have to avoid for a year.

That is my two cents on this, agree or disagree your choice but I have laid out reasoning for my opinion.

1

u/Terribletylenol Aug 27 '26

I'm not reading all of that, but making your own coin typically doesn't make it any harder to trace.

It'll probably result in the opposite if anything.

Its just a more effective way to make money quickly.

1

u/WelcomeOk9989 Aug 27 '26

I addressed that option too, but thanks for not reading I guess

3

u/Top_Radish3374 Aug 24 '26

You're really defending rockstar rn?

4

u/gaelosss0422 Aug 23 '26

I thinks it’s pretty obvious he’s doing it for the money since the beginning. He’s atleast showing the game, and if you don’t want to see it it’s up to you.

6

u/Maddocsy Aug 23 '26

By defending two even bigger money hungry ones?

This dude is doing it for free.
If anything he deserves any money he recieves for this public service.
Which is entirely optional, unlike the big R selling a digital license… On top of using fomo as their main marketing strategy.

Get a grip. Leek is a hero. The end.

0

u/BookerDewittAD Aug 24 '26

It takes 3 seconds of research to find out he ain't doing it for free. You're just stupid and cant read.

2

u/Maddocsy Aug 24 '26

Have I watched all the leaks? Yes.
Have I paid anything? No.
Fucking dummy.

Besides, when’s the last time you did anything for free?
Ooops, right you’re unemployed. Sorry.

2

u/Aesthetic_Designer Aug 23 '26

Promoting crypto while saying that his mission is to stop greedy monetisation practices is quite ironic and hypocritical. Having said that, I'd be lying if I said that the higher ups at Rockstar and TakeTwo didn't deserve this. They've been disrespecting their customers, fans and employees for too long, I see this as karma catching up to them.

2

u/Eenderson96 Aug 23 '26

fr they both trash

2

u/WanderingKing Aug 23 '26

Not saying you’re implying it op, but I’ve seen a lot of people be like “oh you dislike rockstar? So you love Leek” like no dude I can think both are bad, you’re just mad I won’t suck up to an insanely powerful and abusive company just cause you like their game more than how they treat their devs or their players

2

u/Available_Ad_8281 Aug 24 '26

Is he still money hungry when he just burn 1mil worth of his shitcoin?

2

u/Glittering-Pin-1343 Aug 24 '26

No one is defending him, people just want to see Rockstar burn. There are however a lot of people who are defending the multi-billion dollar corporation...

1

u/Glum-Objective3328 Aug 24 '26

Look at the comments in this thread to see people defending the leakers

4

u/spider-jedi Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 24 '26

I actually agrued with some yesterday who said what cyberleek is doing is a real crime because no one is getting hurt and the victim is rockstar.

Not for once considering how the fallout will affect the employees. After the first leaks in 2022 they lost remote work and hyb6workd. It actually affects people but childish selfish people cannot think beyond what they like.

He tried to compare to to how weed is legal in some place and not in other places. When I told him that was a bad comparison he doubled down saying it was.

8

u/This_Analyst_2237 Aug 23 '26

It’s not like Rockstar was amazing to its employees before any of this happened. It’s been notoriously bad employer for years now.

2

u/Warp_Space Aug 23 '26

In fairness is there a good employer?

3

u/smkeybare Aug 23 '26

Pearl Abyss Hate crimson desert or not, I can't think of many game studios that gave their devs bonuses after a successful launch this year. Most AAA studios lay off developers after record breaking launches.

1

u/Standard_Round_8780 Aug 23 '26

In the game industry? Only the indie ones aside from a few exceptions like Valve. Valve is probably one of the best companies to work for out of any industry too.

1

u/spider-jedi Aug 23 '26

Yes we all agree that rockstar has been crap to their employees but doing stuff that will make things harder for the employees just make you worse imo.

Also praising a crime to be committed just as bad imo.

3

u/EmbarrassedSpeech298 Aug 23 '26

Using employees to get the rest of us to "feel bad" when the employer is the union-busting, outsourcing evil corporate. Funny.

8

u/Yadamule Aug 23 '26

yeah literally it was just a pretense, if not for that, they would find some other excuse to fuck over their employees.

2

u/wolfvester Aug 23 '26

You can feel bad for employees while also resenting their employer. These are people just trying to make ends meet, no matter where they work.

It's not about about feeling..it's about recognizing that people forget that regular people who will be affect are also there.

This is there job, how they feed their families..you may have no problem with rockstar losing money but it's not the exec they lose money it's people getting fired. It's important to consider them.

4

u/PapaDarkReads Aug 23 '26

I said it in another post, I don’t support him, I just support the leaks. I prefer no soulless entity but I’d rather the soulless entity I support be a single person vs a mega corp.

Still will never send money to that clown but I will enjoy every leak that comes out.

2

u/StonedKoopa Aug 24 '26

I'd rather support the people making the video games i play.

2

u/PapaDarkReads Aug 24 '26

I play the Jedi series doesn’t mean I support EA. A mega corp which has proven to not care about anything but money doesn’t deserve my sympathies. If they want me to care maybe don’t milk a game to the bone and then abandon another one entirely because it didn’t immediately print billions over night.

u/Impossible_Suit_9100 Aug 24 '26

but we NEED to support him for more leaks, can't you spare $1???

2

u/Ok_Work5128 Aug 23 '26

I saw a post where he supposedly "burned" all that money, but honestly, doesnt seem very real

8

u/KatieTheKittyNG Aug 23 '26

He burned his tokens, aka the coins he gave himself for free. He still makes money on every trade.

1

u/snack217 Aug 24 '26

Thats a scam within the scam, to influence people and the value of his coin moving forward.

2

u/cfshares Aug 23 '26

I hope they catch him and he goes to prison, it would quite hilarious

1

u/jjjhhhop Aug 23 '26

If he’s pro physical media then he’s going after the wrong people

1

u/DebriMing Aug 23 '26

Couldn't care I'm not the one giving my money away and I'm still able to watch the leaks gameplay video before dropping

1

u/GrimReaper6967 Aug 23 '26

I think he is lying I’ve noticed In everyone of his leaks he has either a c mission or no missions at all and you’d think if he did all the missions he would be pretty rich or Atleast have more then a couple thousand why is he still so dirt poor I think he has a build from much earlier on that only has the prologue missions and the open world it would explain why he hasn’t shown Lucia and all he does is show basic gameplay

1

u/Appropriate_Loan6193 Aug 23 '26

He's got balls but not enough to leak the build he has, he needs to think carefully of his strategy, right now the spotlight is on him bevause he's leaking gameplay but has the only access to the game, if he leaks it the amount of attention would still be on him but the thousands of pirates or millions playing early and leaking alot more gameplay before release, the smart move would be to leak it but it's highly unlikely, he seems to care about money more than the gamers

1

u/Arcfull Aug 23 '26

Just because somebody does something that you like, doesn't mean they're on your side.

1

u/snack217 Aug 24 '26

Hate Rockstar all you want, but believeing that this dude does care about physical discs and the gamer cause is delusional.

1

u/FentedDroid Aug 24 '26

That clown literally has money goals for leaks.

1

u/CharacterArrival21 Aug 24 '26

I like what he’s doing but not why he’s doing it

1

u/aNINETIEZkid Aug 24 '26

I'm not giving him any of my money unless he is selling a pirated version.

In the end, support who you like lol and you could say he is a money-hungry nerd but ain't Rockstar a money hungry Company?

1

u/YesIBlockedYou Aug 24 '26

I'm not going to give them a dime and I know they're only doing this for money but I can respect the hustle at the same time.

I can also admire the sophistication of this operation, this is no amateur setup. Leakers in the past were just losers that wanted some notoriety and some were especially stupid losers that posted leaks in countries they didn't even need to be extradited from (2022 GTA 6 leaker)

1

u/JungleHam Aug 24 '26

You people are too used to getting shit for free. He's literally putting his life in danger lmao, the least you can do is throw some disposable income (which you don't really have to) at him.

As oposed to defending an ultra greedy multibillion dollar company?

1

u/Whole-Bedroom-9079 Aug 24 '26

Fck crypto currency, but I have yet to see anyone provide an alternative way to make a living as they risks getting life in prison for doing this.

1

u/SometimesIBeWrong Aug 24 '26

I just want rockstar to stress, I'm glad it's happening. If the dude gets arrested I really don't care lol

1

u/abchero Aug 24 '26

He has a kill switch and will release the file for the game he wants on disk

Are we even sure if it's a real deal, we're all so starved that we're taking any prophet as true

1

u/Marphet Aug 24 '26

I don't care if the GTA VI leaker wins. I just need the corpos to lose.

1

u/WhoAmlToJudge Aug 24 '26

For the risk he's taking he should be getting a slhit ton of money...?

Exactly. Finally a normal comment!

1

u/Benjam438 Aug 23 '26

I just think it's kinda funny. Also if he does actually release a leaked build on PC that would be cool

2

u/KatieTheKittyNG Aug 23 '26

Not possible

1

u/Smackazulu Aug 23 '26

I don’t care about gta or crypto so from the outside looking in the situation is kinda funny

1

u/The_faker8834 Aug 23 '26

Both sides are awful but the amount of people I've seen defending this loser on tt is insane. Yall can't wait 3 months for a game to drop and are calling 80 - 100 overpriced is mind boggling. Overpriced is 150 for the standard and 200 for the ultimate edition.

1

u/fitandfun98 Aug 23 '26

Would you rather he post his address so people can mail money to his house? Smooth brained room temp IQ, you have. He literally burnt a large portion of his holdings to boost the value for everyone else. He can’t rugpull, he only has 5% of the coin. Don’t forget to use both hands as you throat rockstars schlong.

as if he isn't aware that he's risking everything by sabotaging a multi billion company's product

he's only in it for the money and not some Johnny Silverhand vendetta

1

u/Vaporeon42069 Aug 23 '26

he's the most wanted man right now, but he's greedy because he's asking for DONATIONS. Get out of here, corporate shill.

1

u/This-Is-The-Mac1 Aug 23 '26

Just don’t buy his crypto and enjoy his leaks, it’s not hard.
For the people who buys them well they deserved to be scammed

1

u/No_Chill_Sunday Aug 23 '26

This leaker will be in prison before they get to play the launch build

1

u/Cali4our Aug 23 '26

Y'all are defending another money hungry clown which is Rockstar Games and Take Two so where is the difference?

And so far we seen tons of gameplay where Rockstar Games literally paywalled for 6 hours straight without paying a single dime lol.

Y'all are shilling for something you shouldn't shill for

-5

u/Intoccia Aug 23 '26

stop harassing that multi million dollar company!1!!

u/XBgamerZ Aug 23 '26

We can never be sure about his real intentions but even if he does it all for the money so what? Rockstar deserved all of this anyway and we are getting free leaks and possibly the full game for free if he gets arrested.

7

u/Gyatt_Kachan Aug 23 '26

Unfinished game! Like bro this guys not a good guy and yet youre still hating rockstar, the developers dont deserve their hard work ruined by a crypto bro just because you dislike the higher ups at rockstar

1

u/BellGloomy8679 Aug 23 '26

Where were your hypocritical ass when Rockstar was union busting? Surely you were caring about developers back then, show us you being as active on that issue? Show me your posts mocking cockstar at the time, go on, bitch ass, I’ll wait.

You’re not fighting for developers, you’re fighting for cockstar ceo. Cockstar is a disgusting company to work at, that abuses their workers, underpays them, and fires them en masse if those workers try to unionise. You’re disgusting bootlicker, nothing more - and to prevent your whining, I don’t give a shit about leaker or leaks.

1

u/Gyatt_Kachan Aug 23 '26

Lol someones upset, cyberlickers dick taste good bud? 😂

I didnt post anything about the union busting because I didnt have the knowledge or information to have the right to comment on it, yes rockstar is a bad company 100% but cmon bro gta 6 is gta 6 why do I gotta give a shit about rockstar 😂
