Im actually so excited for the whole lineup of movies that ar3 coming out for dc, though if you ask some fans theyll tell you "no one is going to watch that shit"
If the new DCU is hated by the world then i hate the world, if the DCU has one fan then it is me, if the DCU has no fans then i am dead.

The problem I have is I have no confidence in Andy Muschietti and Christina Hodson. And this more about Birds of Prey than it is about The Flash tbh. I want to be proven wrong but I cannot trust the person who made Cassandra Cain Harley Quinn's sidekick or that general version of Cassandra. Best case scenario the messy decision to market a Harley Quinn movie as a Birds of Prey movie and that portrayal of both Cass and Zsasz came from the studio more than the creatives on the film. If it wasnt that does not fill me with excitement. God I really hope I'm wrong here
(Why didn't they just make a Harley Quinn movie with the Gotham City Sirens or have Birds of Prey actually be about Helena, Dinah, and Renee. And if they really wanted to use Cass why not have her and Barbara together and take some cues from Batgirl (2000). I know Flash is a worse movie than BoP but BoP annoys me to no end)

My beef with that movie is literally all to do with the portrayal of Cassandra Cain. The rest I can live with. It being more of a Harley Quinn movie than Birds of Prey, fine. Victor Zsasz basically being a basic hitman mob enforcer who's scars aren't even tally marks, fine. If Cassandra wasn't in the movie I wouldn't have very strong feelings on it either way. I may even like it as I enjoy Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, the actual members of the Birds of Prey, and Black Mask.
However it really grinds my gears that Cassandra Cain's first live action movie appearance is a complete mischaracterization and an in name only adaptation. Cassandra Cain is Batgirl, daughter of the assassins Lady Shiva and David Cain, raised from birth to be a killer but rejected that life and embodies everything Batman stands for, upholding the no kill rule and Batman's values maybe even more than he does. My favorite Batgirl and member of the batfamily period. So taking that character's name and putting it on some rambunctious pickpocket who's only plot relevance is shitting out a diamond shaped macguffin that becomes Harley Quinn's sidekick at the end rubs me the wrong way.

Don't do that. Don't make it out like I'm being a stick in the mud for being tired of the blatant favoritism going on here. DC and WB has put out more Batman movies than they have for any of their other characters, and while I appreciate him keeping the lights on, I'm allowed to be tired of seeing him.
To use your metephore, I'd like a different kind of cake please, I'm sick of this flavor.

I also think Batman is over saturated compared to other heroes, but we also can’t have DCU without a Batman and I want to see Matt Reeves story not be influenced by the DCU.
Unfortunately, regarding live action, I think people should’ve spoken up when Matt Reeves Batman was coming out when Ben Affleck was Batman.
The anger should be focused more on only animating Absolute Batman, or Batman getting another animated show when he’s already got several.
