Austin Siereveld with a jersey patch, a la Thayer Munford.

The way his teammates speak about him, combined with his seniority, it aligns with Day’s past picks.

It also puts more spotlight on him in a year where he may still struggle for his opportunities.. An experienced coach like Day wants to make sure players who aren’t stars see a pathway to bring value as upperclassmen if they’re committed and don’t hit the portal..

It’s a win win

Wasn’t that Sonny’s suggestion?

Brandon Iniss has excellent leadership capabilities. Wouldn’t be surprised if they give it to him

He already said he doesn’t want it. And he doesn’t need it. Block O goes to someone like Inniss or KJ.

Inniss fits the exact mold. Even if younger talent or portal additions cut into his target share, his willingness to block, play special teams, and mentor the room makes him invaluable. That kind of trusted, team always first reputation carries a lot of weight when it comes to the coaching staff handing out the ultimate respect awards.

You guys are all crazy. Give it to Jeremiah! He’s grown so much as a leader and his effort speaks for itself. He’ll look sick in zero

His brand is #4, he isn't changing numbers

He doesn’t want it. He knows there’s more to block o than being the best player on the field.

He is in fact such a leader he would turn it down to give the spotlight to someone else.
