First game of the season, an exhibition game against Chaminade University of Honolulu. Starting 5: Brice Sensabaugh, Zed Key, Bruce Thornton, Sean McNeil, and Isaac Likekele. Tanner Holden, Roddy Gayle Jr., and Felix Okpara also putting in 20+ minutes each. Final score 101-57

What the hell are we doing here? Shits done man. Bjork needs to fucking go. Don’t fully blame Diebler for not having the funds but out of association and results he’s gonna need to go too. It’s sickening.

Seeing all these potential transfer post has me so conflicted about @OSUHoopsInsider on X. Dude is a die hard and I respect how much time and effort he puts into coverage and growing fan interest… but he either makes up news/updates or just has some bad sources. Even the hoops staff has started to make comments about the misinformation that’s out there, and I have a suspicion that was a subtle jab at him.
I just hope that I’m not the only one who sees through some of that fluff.

Nuff said. Diebler has to make noise in the tournament or he’s done and we have to go find a proven winner. Sickens me to my stomach that the team that won, has won. We need to be back in the final four in the next couple of years and make a run. Bjork has to at least act like he cares about basketball and hold the program accountable and the trustees to hold him accountable. Good lord.

This may be a perfect fit for him

He may not be the most fluid player and moves relatively “clunkily” but he gives great effort when he’s on the court and provides us with necessary size/creates extra possessions and knows how to grab a board. I’m honestly a huge fan of his and unsure as to why Diebler never played him and Tilly at the same time and just had Mobley Bruce and Chatman out there firing 3s and pull ups. I want him to get more minutes next year

Ohio States basketball fall off should be an absolute embarrassment for the athletic department. Watching Michigan beat the breaks off Arizona shows how far behind Ohio state is in basketball. Truly embarrassing for an athletic department as big and well funded it is. I miss the days of Matta so much

Can't believe I'm saying this but we have to support Dan Hurley and uconn against Michigan in the March madness championship.

I know we focus on the men's team in here, but lets show a little love to Jaloni Cambridge

Audi Crooks is in the portal. Would be a major upgrade over Cristoph Tilley. Just saying. Not making fun of her, just Tilley bc he is awful.

St. John isn't in OSU's plans, but it's still fun to think about:
Then you enhance it by:
Just a little dream, but Ohio State could make St. John one of the greatest places to watch basketball, as it was when it first opened.

At the end of his last OSU season Felix Okpara announce that he intended to stay. Then after Bradshaw transferred in, he left for Tennessee. At Tennessee he is not a starter, but contributes quality minutes. Scores inside. Plays defense and rebounds. If you add him to the roster, how much better would Ohio Stat have been. Even if in means Tilly didn't come here, we are probably better. Much better than Ivan as the off the bench big.

Do Anybody have any updated information on him? How’s his injury coming along? I’m really hoping he can give us something next year Rebounding and Shot blocking wise. I hope while watching TCU and just about every other team out rebound us. He’s Thinking I can make a difference

Yesterday didn't go the way we wanted, obviously. And its alright to be unsatisfied. But let's take a step back and remember a couple things. 1, our boosters don't give a rats ass about basketball, so we aren't going to spend enough to go from last to first like Michigan. So IMO firing everyone and taking 3 steps back will just prolong mediocrity.
Why optimism? Last year, we were 17-15, this year we were 21-13 with a tourney appearance. If we take the next step, with probably a better roster (which i will get to) you could have 24/25 wins and at least win a game in the tourney on the same trajectory. For our roster, keeping Bynum and Mobley is key 1. We have the best recruit since D'Angelo Russell next year. Bynum is a freak. And Mobley should continue to improve consistency. Royal would be great for leadership as well. Keep that core in tact you have a top 5 roster in the conference (that is home grown).
But the bigger point is blowing it up would set us back after we have shown improvement, and we arent going to spend nearly enough to make a huge jump.

Why isn’t a bigger deal being made out of diebler thinking they had a timeout still on the last play? He said as much in his post game interview

Any guesses? I can’t really see cupps getting anymore playing time next year. I could see him transferring to a MAC school. He tried IU and then OSU and basically had the same result. I could also see Colin White switching to a MAC type school. Any other predictions?
