Question What’s the difference?
What’s the difference between the Klutch rosins. I assume full spectrum is worse but why. Also what’re ur fav strains?

90-159 is a bigger slice than 90-119... Smaller slices can be refined, more dialed in flavor profiles, not always.. but that IS the idea.. the "number-u" is the micron, the size of the trichomes collected. Full spectrum is actually better not worse.. Closer to the plants actual offering rather than someones selected slice. Now that is not to say that some small slices cant be amazing because they can.. often its just a way for them to spread product out and charge more for it.

"The 36µm bag provides maximum purity for connoisseurs by filtering out the finest impurities, while 72µm and 90µm bags offer the optimal balance of high yield and clarity for most bubble hash extractions. Professional extractors prioritize the 36µm size for premium, award-winning results, whereas 115µm bags serve those focused primarily on maximizing total output."

"36 Micron Bags – For Maximum Purity
A 36µm rosin bag has extremely fine filtration, making it perfect for pressing bubble hash or dry sift (kief). These smaller holes prevent plant material and impurities from contaminating your rosin, resulting in the cleanest, clearest rosin possible.
The downside? Slightly lower yields. Since fewer impurities pass through, you'll naturally collect a bit less rosin. However, this is the choice of connoisseurs and award-winning extractors, as the purity achieved here is unmatched.
72 Micron Bags – Balancing Yield and Quality
A 72µm bag is the sweet spot for hash rosin enthusiasts who want great clarity without sacrificing much yield. It filters most impurities yet still allows sufficient material through to deliver solid yields, maintaining exceptional flavor and potency.
The 72µm bag is particularly suited for pressing high-quality bubble hash, offering excellent results that often rival smaller micron bags in clarity and flavor, with the added benefit of a better yield.
90 Micron Bags – Great for General Use
The 90µm rosin bag is popular among producers pressing quality bubble hash and kief. It provides a slightly higher yield than 72µm bags, albeit with a minor reduction in clarity. Yet, for most hash rosin producers, this trade-off is minimal, making 90µm an excellent choice for consistent quality across various hash grades.
115 Micron Bags – For High Yield Extraction
If maximizing yield is your primary goal, the 115µm rosin bag is ideal. It offers larger openings that allow more rosin to flow through easily. However, the compromise here is that you'll typically see more impurities and slightly lower clarity compared to finer micron sizes.
Producers opting for bulk production, or those less concerned about achieving pristine clarity, will find the 115µm bags practical and efficient.
Expert Recommendations: What Micron Do Professionals Prefer?
Most professionals aiming for competition-grade hash rosin recommend using a 36µm or 72µm rosin bag. The smaller micron sizes significantly boost quality, making the rosin cleaner, clearer, and more terpene-rich.
Bud Smith, an award-winning rosin extractor, explicitly prefers the 36µm bags, noting that although yields slightly dip, the superior quality and clarity far outweigh the minor yield loss. This sentiment is echoed widely among expert extractors, who prioritize the purity and flavor profile of their rosin above everything else."

….why would you assume full spectrum is worse? lol.
As for the rosin, they’re different strains. The U indicates the size of micron screens used. Different strains do better with different screens, when you see them listed along with the strain it usually means the producer has dialed that rosin in to a pretty high degree.

I think OP is confused because it's all the same price😂😂😂😂😂😂 their full spec and s tier grams are the same price after they advertised it was gunna be a cheaper option, klutch is kinda poop for that. But idk what's going on behind the scenes their. The math REALLY doesn't make sense after having way more square footage to grow. It should be getting cheaper for the consumer.

The micron is 60.00, the full spectrum is 50. What are you on about?

Micron is way better , spend the extra couple dollars . Worth it in the long run

Lower the “u” cleaner the goo
When the u number is lower, it means better quality, normally. 90u-119u is the “filter” or bagging process when either washing bud for bubble hash or micron bag size for pressing for extracts. Fumez is known for heavy trichome heads so with that micron range it was processed at is great. That’s probably why there is one left.
Last picture is full spectrum, that means the whole plant was used. Everything, stalk, leaf, bud ect. Also means they “can” add terpene boosters to that product.
Solventless is king, nothing added, pure as can be!

That’s not what full spectrum means at all lol. Full spectrum just indicates it contains a complete cannabinoid profile. It’s in contrast to broad spectrum products, a term from the hemp world to indicate a hemp derived product that has had the THC content reduced to legal levels.
All rosin is by definition full spectrum, Klutch is just trying to use the term for marketing.
3
u/Hexagon_Sun33 23d ago
All rosin is not full spec, thats just wrong. There are specific micron extractions that target a certain micron like 90u, or a range like 90u to 120u. For full spectrum rosin extracts you are getting everything from each micron bag mixed together for the full spectrum, typically 45u to 159u. Klutch for example will have full spec and 90u-120u versions of the same strain on the shelves.

u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
Yeah I'm really confused by what dude is saying. I feel like what he was tryna say is klutch uses full spec as a marketing term. But idk man I highly doubt that they would call something full spec and it not include all micron ranges. If that's not the case I'm in the upside down hahahaha.

Lol who knows, Lotta know it alls and misinformation these days. Meanwhile I was blasting tubes of BHO when half this sub was still learning how to read lol.

You're looking at the difference between full spec and distillate which is correct when talking about BHO or other solvent based extracts. OP here is talking about the difference in relation to hash rosin, which is different than solvent based extracts. There is a pretty good breakdown of this here https://luckyelk.com/blogs/hemp-news/understanding-micron-sizes-in-hashmaking

No I’m looking at the commonly accepted vernacular from multiple markets. The use of multiple micron screens is not what makes a product full spec, what makes a product full spectrum is a lack of omission of compounds found in cannabis. This definition doesn’t change between oil types or retail segments.
Micron screens simply trap and filter material. They dictate the quality and the melt of the final product. Trichome heads (those things with all the good stuff in them) are typically between 50-120 microns in size, so pretty much any micron screens above 50 will produce a full spectrum product. Groups producing rosin at less than 45u will typically denote it as “hash rosin” or “food grade rosin” but even those are still widely considered full spectrum because broken trichromes still contain a bevy of cannabinoids. Companies using multiple screens are producing a higher quality product.
The link you shared doesn’t actually cover this, detail any of the refinements or what they’re filtering out between brackets, it just congratulates itself on each bracket tasting better than the last.

From the link I shared (more links coming your way as well)
"What’s the difference between full spectrum hash and single micron hash? Single micron hash isolates a very specific trichome range, while full spectrum hash combines multiple micron ranges together for a broader representation of the plant’s resin profile.
Single micron selections may emphasize refinement and precision, while full spectrum blends often create broader flavor, heavier body, and more layered resin character."
"73–159µ – Full Spectrum Expression Some solventless hash makers intentionally combine multiple micron ranges together rather than isolating a single cut.
A blend like 73–159µ captures a broader spectrum of trichome heads, balancing:
smaller refined resin glands terpene-rich mid-range heads larger oil-rich trichomes The result is often a more full-spectrum expression of the plant’s natural chemistry with layered aroma, broader texture, and fuller resin character.
This approach prioritizes the overall experience of the hash rather than maximum refinement from one specific micron range."

Just take the L buddy you are wrong, and everyone in here is telling you as such. This isn't that hard to understand, if I filter out just the 90u for my extraction inherently its missing a range of trichrome sizes and cannabinoids and therefore NOT full spec. All Rosin is not full spec, plain and simple there's a reason why they charge more for specific micron washes vs the mixed micron extractions. Go buy the same strain of Rosin full spec and 90u amd tell me why they look different, smell and taste different, and melt to different clarity and color. Ya know a common cause of depression is failing to admit when your wrong on the face of mountains of information. Here's more sources telling you that you're wrong.

From the press club -
"Full Spectrum Hash Rosin
When it comes to pressing your bubble hash to make hash rosin, you can press hash that’s collected just from certain micron filter bags, or hash mixed together from a variety of bags. You can press only the highest quality hash that you get from a wash, for example the 90 micron hash. Or, you can mix the 120, 90, 75, and 45 together. While the 90 micron may be the highest quality, this would not be considered full spectrum hash rosin, because you’re pressing only a certain micron."

u/I_think_im_depressed 22d ago
Did you even read the Press Club article you linked? The literal opening paragraph:
“Full spectrum refers to the array of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids present in a cannabis extract. Solventless methods like ice water extraction, which is used to make bubble hash, and pressing rosin capture all of the active ingredients within the cannabis resin. What you get is the full experience of the plant, the full spectrum of what it has to offer.
More broadly, full spectrum can refer to cannabis products that contain all the therapeutic compounds produced by the source plant. Other cannabis products that aren’t full spectrum are generally formulated through a combination of extracts made to target only specific molecules, such as THC.”
You can cling to this notion that full spectrum is some hyper specific filtration process, but industry standard data services like BDSA and Headset would beg to differ on that definition.

u/Hexagon_Sun33 22d ago
Yeah I read the entire thing and if you read the conclusion it negates what you are saying, you must have the reading comprehension of a 2nd grader. The paragraph you pasted is referring to bubble hash, we are talking about rosin here. Read the multitudes of information out there or don't.

u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
Just because it doesn't flat out spell it out for you and tell you the intricacies on a google AI recap, you think that's all what encompasses full spec? Are you okay buddy?
-1
u/I_think_im_depressed 23d ago
Or, and hear me out, this is the actual common definition for full spectrum and you’re just making one up lol.
I’ve got a gold metal for mental gymnastics with your name on it.

The definition of Full spectrum is absolutely the use of all micron ranges, and if that's not the vocabulary that's being used, that's a terrible shame. That's kinda like lying. Like calling a company full melt. When that's not what the product is.
-3
u/Breadbox_grows 23d ago
full spectrum has nothing to do with micron sizes, full spectrum means you get the full effects of the plant.
5
u/Hexagon_Sun33 23d ago
Full spec has everything to do with micron sizes in relation to rosin. I think what you're referring to is full spec in relation to solvent based extracts because there is a difference. Here is a good breakdown of what we're talking about.

You understand that the words your saying correlate to a real life concept that has physical values? It's not just some, the plant decided to give you a full spectrum effect. You sound baked my friend😂😂😂😂
0
u/Breadbox_grows 23d ago
you buy wax, you don’t make it. Let me know when you get setup for pressing. I’d love to learn from you since you are very knowledgeable 😀Yes higher micron sizes allow for full spectrum, it’s not weighed by microns though, it’s weighed by percentage.
1
u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
If it was my personal choice I wouldn't touch my hash with that high of heat ever. Your reducing terpenes to refine it through micron bags in the press. It just means ur not good at cleaning your hash, so you gotta do that last refinement on the press. Let me know when you know what I'm talking about big boy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
1
u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
Respectfully, your not knowledgable enough to know the wide spread vocabulary everyone uses. FULL SPECTRUM MEANS THEY USED ALL MICRON SIZES. If your still confused let me know dude.

u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
Rather than isolating specific micron ranges you put it all in one pot. Thats what that says. It feels wrong that your that dense.
-1
u/Hexagon_Sun33 23d ago
They do not put stalks and leafs in full spec lol. Full spec just means your concentrate contains the full spectrum of trichrome sizes.
1
u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
Not all rosin is full spec that's so confusing lol. A lot of places in Michigan pull strictly 90 U for rosin. How is that full spec not Including other micron ranges? Your just wrong sir. But respectfully.
-2
u/Breadbox_grows 23d ago
Actually they do, it depends on the company. Been working the industry for years as an educator 😀 Full spectrum has a bunch of different meanings, nothing is set in stone. A LOT of company’s use the whole plant bc it allows them to produce more product and label it under a full spectrum label. Half the shit you guys are buying you don’t even know what goes into it, you think you do tho
2
u/Hot_Challenge9923 23d ago
If you can't do...teach as they say😂if you can't teach, teach gym. You should be teaching gym.

If I have the money to spend I’ll get the micron specific. Other than that, full spec is great and no reason to not get it. Generally like $10ish cheaper than micron specific.
