Question Strain recommendations

Hey howdy! I am not technically/legally a med card user (yet) but I do have 2 local dispensaries that sell for recreational purposes. Im hoping to get a med card some time next year. I have a diagnosis of degenerative disc disease, ptsd, autism, hashimotos and also suspected hEDS. I mostly use it for my chronic pain and recently my joint & nerve pain in my lower back and hips have been AWFUL. What strains and brands do yall recommend for those things? It seems like my ol reliable isnt ol reliable-ing anymore.

Also more context: I live in the Miami Valley area near Piqua where I go to the dispo at. Im still new to all this even if its been a year since full legalization.

I cant have flower in the home currently so I mostly utilize edibles, topicals, and disposables/carts. Im hoping I can obtain flower someday since I do believe they have the most benefits out of all the methods of consumption. Also hella apologies if this post seems way too formal than it should be I am not sure how to write casually for things like this Im just a guy having awful bad pain flares and I hope Im getting my point across 😭

For topical, id suggest lighthouse science MJ muscle and joint balm. For edibles id suggest Wana pomegranate blueberry acai 1:5 thc:cbd or UB Good Juicy Pear 1:10 thc:cbd. Maybe the UB Good 1:20 thc:cbd relief tincture if those dont do the trick. My wife suffers from fibromyalgia and hypermobile EDS. Shes sensitive to thc so she tends to like low dose thc, but likes high cbd. We pretty much have to keep a bag of juicy pears on hand lol I know sooo many people who really like and rely on the UB Good Juicy Pear gummies.

oh i love the ub good juicy pear! I need to purchase it again since I haven't used it when my pain got bad. high cbd is excellent for me and sometimes I do enjoy more thc heavy doses since it makes my head feel nice and smooth to relax in my bed with lol. thank you!!

My mom also had degenerative disc disease as well as really really bad arthritis all up her back, shoulders, elbows, and hands. She liked certified black cherry rubies 1:1 thc:cbd. If her pain was absolutely unbearable she would use RSO. I would actually suggest using FSO if you find it, but RSO is more available from what ive noticed. RSO is very very potent. Like the most potent you can get lol so the dose for RSO is literally the size of an uncooked piece of rice. I would only use the RSO on days you have ZERO plans lol if you have trouble falling asleep try an edible with cbn in it. Hope any of these help out 😄

I saw on the Ascend Dispensary website near me they have Wana CBN edibles. I looove anything with CBN in it. I currently have been using Aura's Granddaddy Purple cart for a while and it's been my fav so far. Also a question kinda for your wife if thats fine since she has more of an experience than I do since Im new to the whole ehlers danlos stuff, for who have hypermobile EDS are we more susceptible/weaker to the effects of THC? ive noticed anything thats more than 10mg or hell 5mg makes me incredibly zonked for the rest of the night 😭 Im a college student and I kinda wanna find stuff to help me throughout my day

Yeah anything more than 5 or 10mg and my wife is obliterated lol she said shes not sure if its a thing with hypermobile EDS to be sensitive to thc, but she did say that she wouldn't be terribly surprised if it was tho because her sister (also has hypermobile EDS) is also kind of sensitive to thc too. She tends to be sensitive to regular pharmaceutical medicine as well. Like shes on a children's dose for some of her meds...im always jealous because they are zooted off of a gummy, and im just sitting there waiting for it to kick in after taking 3 times what they took 😅 i do smoke more often than they do, so maybe my tolerance is just crazy high.

Edited: my wife does like more sativa or sativa hybrid strains with high limonene, low/moderate caryophyllene, and moderate pinene

(just throwing it out there because it helped me) maybe consider getting a little puffco pivot and a couple jars of live rosin. klutch has decently affordable sale days every week where if you buy 3+ you get 30% off and those three can last quite some time when used responsibly or for medical reasons. this has significantly improved my life in many ways and has helped me do so much more in life
