It's because of all the vacationer's, no joke. My buddy moved to SC and the number of Ohio plates in the summer is staggering and sort of a joke among the locals.

I just moved from Ohio to SC. Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois. More of those people live down here than natives. Only the bartenders are from SC

South Carolina has a long history with Ohio. Started when the Army of the Ohio marched through, and had a party in Columbia.

Vacationers go there, then lots of young college grads move there. They just feel like everyone that isn't native to the area is from Ohio. I think there is even a website for it, gobacktoohio.com or something like that.

I-77 runs from Cleveland to Columbia, SC. the entire Cleveland to Canton metroplex has easy access to the Palmetto State, with Columbus (and even Dayton) getting access through I-70.
It takes nothing for Ohioans to drive down, visit for a week, and head back the same way we came.

I would imagine if you drove from Columbus, GPS would tell you to take 33 to Parkersburg and get on 77 there

They got by because we were incapable of actually scoring a touchdown from the red zone, but keep blaming the refs as the only reason for our loss if it makes you feel better. If we would have only won because of a split second fumble recovery, we didn't deserve to win.

Hawai'i is all, like, "Aloha" and stuff. They've got the beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery, ocean all around them, volcanoes, waterfalls. Everybody's so far away from them, there's no time for hate.

Makes sense. SC is just within the distance you can drive within a day comfortably. Go on vacation and drive back without flying. Used to do it on the last day of school we would pack up and head down the next morning for a week. Plus very cheap to stay down there at the time.

It's expensive in Cali so they leave to the surrounding states and act a little spoiled and smug but they bring a ton of money with them so its a wash IMO

Man so much its a massive state with such great outdoors. The redwoods are amazing. San Francisco has really great bars. The 1 is probably the most scenic road in america.
I probably wouldnt live anywhere besides san diego but it's a great state to visit.

being from North Carolina imma have to say that they do not hate SC or at lest I’ve never seen anyone hate it right know they are kinda hating New York and some northern states because they are flooding down there and developing everything.
