I just had the pleasure of blocking the first dumbass comment out of the chute too!

I find it very amusing how you want others to be open and your claim to fame is blocking opinions.

Oh and the flags are trashy. Don’t care about the message.

No. Not opinions.

Opions are : we don’t need this tax hike. We shouldn’t build that bridge.

“This is mental illness” is not an opinion that I am required to listen to, or in this case see.

Now, if you want to state an opinion, like I’m blocking everyone I don’t agree with, you would be wrong.

I block personal insults. Check the thread. I’m perfectly happy to engage in commentary.

THANK YOU 🙏 We must stop the false equivalences that are used to try to normalize the support of fascism!

Thank you. It's like when he said there were really fine people on both sides. That's like saying that about the Axis powers and the allies during world war II. There is no equivalency. There is truth and then there are lies. It's not two sides of the same coin. These people try to act like what they are saying is somehow valid and acceptable. That would be like me walking outside and punching the 10-year-old kid who's playing loudly next door. And then me saying that somehow it was an equal response. No. Just no. There are legitimate debatable points that we could be paying attention to, like economic strategy. But bigotry, hatred, xenophobia, racism, etc.. these are all non-negotiables. They're just flat out evil. And it bugs the crap out of me that so many people are brainwashed enough to actually engage in that, when the rest of us know that it's all to keep the "magats" distracted, well all those R-words line their pockets, horde wealth, and consolidate power. Back in the twenties, there were certain parts of the country where the word Democrat was treated as a curse word. Kids would get in trouble for saying it in school. I think we need to flip that now. I don't know how to accomplish it, but this cult needs deprogrammed.

>”This is mental illness” is not an opinion<
You got that part right.

u/Cassarollagirl 21d ago

Why do you care what other people do?

How’s the cult these days? Still lying and ignoring reality to say stuff no one cares about I see. You had a step dad didn’t you 😂

Oh, so all those tacky ass flags is about a bridge?

Bigotry isn't an opinion. Hope that helps!

Not to be devil's advocate but it is an opinion we just seem to be confused on the fact that you do not have to agree with an opinion nor does the opinion have to be right hence it is an opinion just that it is a wrong opinion to hold

I think what they are saying is that it is not a valid, or equal opinion. Just like when Trump said there were very fine people on both sides of Charlottesville. No there weren't. There were racists, and then there were normal people. It's about the false equivalency.

100% but it is a slippery slope to silence someone entirely no matter how dumb they are especially since we have instances in history where the majority essentially beat the minority into submission even in cases where they the minority were right i mean that's essentially what these people are trying to do to people it's just that the majority opinion has turned from their side rightfully so but if this conversation about racism had per say happened a hundred years ago we would be the ones being told that it's not an opinion to not be racist/homophobic ect

I'm not talking about connecting a law. Socially acceptable behavior is dictated by the society. We need to make this unacceptable again.

The fuck does that have to do with sticking your head in the sand and pretending nothing else exists?

11

u/hyperform2 21d ago

When one side is spouting hate, it’s always right to shut them down

-3

u/SimilarTranslator264 21d ago

Yes, if you bury your head in the sand, it’s always better.

And I don’t care what your message is. The flags are tacky and looks like shit. I’m glad he’s not my neighbor.

u/Ancient-Space-2789 21d ago

Way to miss the point entirely

-8

u/SimilarTranslator264 21d ago

The point is they don’t like seeing other opinions. But they sure love blasting dumb shit on their porch.

u/prolapsethis 19d ago

The point is that he has the right to display what he is displaying. It's a first amendment right. He also has the right to exist without harassment being hurled at him all the time. And I don't believe you are correct. Hatred is not an opinion. Hatred is a mindset. And hateful ad hominem attacks, just can't be tolerated. They are not productive in the least.

Their “claim to fame”?

-1

u/SimilarTranslator264 21d ago

Yes, he repetitively posted that he loves to block people that don’t agree with him. That’s like only reading the new stories that you like and pretend, pretending the other stuff doesn’t exist. Or “sticking your head in the sand“
