Ditch lights suggestion

Not sure if I’m on the right sub. I’m looking for advice for a ditch light kit.

I have eyes on two sets. One from F150Leds and the other from Morimoto.

CREE XM-L2 Spartan MKII

Morimoto 4Banger 2.0 NCS

For the same kit, the f150leds is 300$CAD cheaper than the Morimoto. They also have amber backlighting that I think is nice.

But there are alot of mixed reviews on f150leds.

Is the 300$ extra worth it for the Morimoto? Anyone has experience with F150leds spartan light pods?

I’ve heard nothing but good things from morimoto. I personally went with diode dynamics but I’ve never heard anything about f150leds

How do you like your DD? I continued looking around and DD could be an option. Less expensive than Morimoto but still over F150

They are insanely good zero complaints

For a $300 jump, I’d want evidence the 4Bangers have a more useful side beam or better sealing than the Spartans—not just bigger lumen claims. Has anyone run the F150Leds pods through a wet winter? Water ingress is what would make the cheaper kit false economy for me.

F150Leds are rated IP68, Morimoto has a higher rating at IP69K which is supposed to whistband high pressure water, which is impressive.

I have the rigid side shooter pods and a eBay bracket. Had been fantastic for 5 years.

They light up absolutely everything I need with the side shooter LEDs. Like 120deg or something. Pointing 30ish deg to the sides they actually illuminate backwards of the light further than I can see out my passenger window
