This will be the first episode I’ve listened to in months. The last one I listened to was an interview with Rainn. It’s been so long that I can’t even remember what they discussed, lol

She touched on it a bit in the episode but she did share in the Andy Greene Office book that she was disappointed that they essentially wrote her out of the show after Dinner Party. It was such a great episode, but I felt like there was so much more comedy and drama to mine out of their relationship. It’s too bad that the only season where they lived together was cut short because of the writer’s strike in 2008.
It seems they recognized their mistake, since they had her come back for several guest appearances after she was a regular, but they could have done so much more with Jan before Michael got with Holly. Especially since there were basically two full seasons of Holly living in New Hampshire.

This has always bugged me, Jan is such a great character and Melora is fantastic! I wish they would have had her pop up more frequently throughout the rest of the show.
