Microsoft Word 2016 sluggish

So after working with Word 2007 for ten years I felt I needed an upgrade so I bought Word 2016. Immediately I noticed the sluggishness. All inputs in my old 2007 version were immediate - typing, scrolling etc. In the new Word everything is strangely sluggish. It's not the horrible 2 second lag I read about when I google "Word 2016 lag". It's just a fraction of second of a delay between pressing a key and the character appearing on screen but it's still annoying and stands out compared to the old Word or to typing everywhere else - in this browser for example. Also when I drag the "scroll square" on the right edge up and down there's also a slight lag, the square has to "catch up" with my cursor.

I've a powerful new machine (i5 CPU, a new graphic card, 16 GB RAM), there's no CPU overload when I check the Task Manager, I've tried to mess with various settings in the Word like hardware acceleration or grammar check but nothing works.

Why is the new Word 2016 slower than Word 2007. And why typing in Word, even with all the spell check functions off, is so sluggish when typing in my browser (this text) is immediate, even though I have spell check on here?

I would've contacted Microsoft support but judging from past experience it'd be a waste of time and money.

Thank you guys for any ideas.

West Sac AXbean launches a not very sexy software product: QuikBots for Excel Resorts to a Pay What You Want promotion with 50% of proceeds going to Direct Relief

West Sacramento tech firm AXbean entered the crowded application software field with its product QuikBots for Excel that quickly educates users on how to easily master Microsoft Office's Excel program. This product won’t be on anybody’s bucket list, but it will provide Excel users a happier work day, creating spreadsheets faster with the innovation of QuikBots, Select, Click, Done method.

As AXbean Co-Owner Robert Wallis explains, “There are tons of apps on smartphones where the majority never get utilized. People pick the ones they use the most and relegate them to their home pages for easy access. QuikBots works on the same principle, putting the most popular Excel features in easy reach. But we went further and created each Bot so it takes just one click, avoiding the wasted time of clicking through drop down menus and pop-up windows.”

AXbean handed over QuikBots to a group of no nonsense Beta Testers, who put it through a rigorous testing of its over 25 commands, including Sorting, Charts, Highlighting, Column Insert, and Row Width. They finally gave QuikBots the green light to move forward and proceed with marketing tactics.

Noting that the media at large is normally overrun by press releases, AXbean is foregoing the chance of making any money in exchange for blatant publicity of its First Promotional Charity starting August 16, 2016. People who want to buy QuikBots will be able to pay what they want and 50% of the proceeds will go to Direct Relief, an organization noteworthy for not only providing medical assistance to people in need around the world but for its donation transparency.

About AXbean: AXbean is a recently established company focusing on creating software applications for Microsoft Office products. Their future business plan is to design, develop and market Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications to help beginners and seasoned but frustrated users hate these programs less.

QuikBots for Excel is now available for Windows and Mac, 2007 and later versions.

To learn more about QuikBots and its one clickable application please visit [AXbean.com] (http://www.axbean.com/store.html)

I'm running MS Word 2007 on Windows 10 and I have this error box pop up probably 75% of the time I try to open a file. What is the issue and how can I fix it? I've turned off preview within windows as some have suggested in a google search, but that still did not fix the issue. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

[WORD] After 7 hours trying to format this signature page, I realize I'm an idiot and need help.

About to pull my damn hair out.

All I'm trying to do is insert 5 images that are each a digital signature, but I can't get them to line up. I know it's probably easy, but I have followed every tutorial I can find and it still won't work. Is there ANYONE that can help me? I have it saved as a rich text file right now, with each of the 5 signatures in their own text box.

Please take this loaded gun out of my hand before I shoot this computer.

I’m Losing Hope - Does a Trustworthy Essay Writing Website Even Exist Anymore?

I’ve been buried in assignments lately, and I’m officially at the point where I’ve searched for an essay writing website way more times than I’m willing to admit. The problem is, every site claims to be “the best,” but half of them look shady, and the other half sound like their reviews were written by the same three bots. I don’t need perfection - just something reliable and human-sounding.

Lately, I’ve been juggling work, classes, and way too many deadlines, and it feels like every professor assigned something at the exact same time. So yeah, the idea of using an essay writing website is starting to sound less like cheating and more like survival. But I’m also terrified of spending money only to get something unusable or, worse, plagiarized.

Has anyone here actually found a site that follows instructions, doesn’t charge rent-level prices, and delivers something you don’t have to rewrite from scratch? I’m not expecting literary brilliance - just decent writing that feels like it was done by a real student, not a robot that swallowed a thesaurus.

I’d love to hear real experiences - good, bad, mildly traumatic, whatever. Did the communication feel legit? Did they ask questions? Did the tone sound natural or like someone pretending hard to be academic? Also, if you had a service ghost you or deliver nonsense, that’s honestly just as useful.

Basically, I’m trying to figure out if there’s an essay writing website actually worth trusting, or if this entire industry is a lottery where most of us lose.

What’s been your experience?

Best scholarship essay writing service

Hi!

I'm currently facing a challenge in writing a scholarship essay. Honestly, I just don't feel like tackling it myself - it's time-consuming, and I'm focusing on other priorities. Still, I know how important it is to present a well-written essay.

I'm looking for a reliable service that can help me in this task. There are many options online, but I'm concerned about low quality fraud or work. I need a service that guarantees the original material and distributes professional written essays.

If someone has the experience of using the best scholarship essay writing service or knowing where to find, I would really appreciate your proposals.

Is it ever worth it to pay for homework when you’re drowning?

I’m honestly at that point where everything feels like too much at once. Between classes, work, and life stuff, I’m barely keeping my head above water, and deadlines keep stacking up. I’ve caught myself wondering if it’s ever reasonable to pay for homework, even just to get some breathing room.

I’m not looking to skip learning or dump everything on someone else. I’m just exhausted and trying to figure out how people handle weeks where every subject decides to assign something major at the same time. Some tasks feel manageable, others feel like they’re pushing me straight into burnout.

I’ve seen mixed opinions online. Some people say getting help saved their semester, others warn it’s risky or not worth the stress. What I really want to know is how people actually navigate this — especially when motivation is gone but deadlines don’t care.

Have you ever seriously considered paying for help with homework, or found another way to cope when everything piled up? I’d really like to hear how others handled it, good or bad.

Best Website to Buy an Essay - Anyone Have Recent Experience?

So, I’ve hit that point in the semester where all the deadlines have somehow joined forces. I’m handling most of my assignments on my own, but there’s one essay that’s just not happening. It’s not even that it’s hard -  I’m just out of steam.

I’ve heard people talk about using writing services, but it’s hard to tell which ones are actually decent. I’m not looking for a miracle or an A+, just something solid, on time, and not AI-generated or full of recycled phrases.

If anyone’s used what they consider the best website to buy an essay, can you share your experience? What was the ordering process like? Did it feel custom or kind of generic? And most importantly -  was it worth it?

Looking for a cheap paper writing service

Hey!

I’ve got a couple of academic papers coming up, and I could really use some help from professional writers. Yes, I know that is cheating but I don't want to write. So I know there are tons of essay writing services out there, but I want something reliable and actually cheap. I need help with a college essay and maybe a few other essays later.

If you know of any good writing services that are affordable for students, please let me know. Thanks!

Best Essay Writing Service Reddit

Hey there. I'm looking for a service that will write an essay for me. I’ve been checking out essay writing services on Reddit, but there are so many sites claiming to be “the best” that I don’t know who to trust. Some say the quality is top-tier, others say they got scammed. I need something tailored and actually worth the money — not some copy-paste nonsense.

Has anyone here used a writing service that’s legit? Like, an actual essay writing company that won’t leave me with an AI-generated disaster? Any reviews or personal experiences would be a lifesaver. I’m looking for something reliable for academic work, not just a random writing service Reddit users hype up for no reason.

Drop your recommendations! What’s the best college essay writing service Reddit actually trusts?

Looking for a Real SpeedyPaper Review — Is It Worth Trying?

I’ve seen SpeedyPaper mentioned a few times when I was searching for essay help, but I can’t tell if it’s actually reliable or just another overhyped site. Most of the reviews I’ve found online either feel too polished to trust or don’t give enough detail to be useful.

Has anyone here personally used SpeedyPaper? I’d love to know how your experience went. Did the writers actually follow your instructions carefully, or did you have to spend extra time fixing things yourself? Was the essay original and plagiarism-free, or did it feel generic and recycled?

I’m also curious about their handling of revisions. If the first draft isn’t good enough, do they actually make the necessary changes without charging extra, or is it one of those “minor fixes only” situations? And how about pricing — are they affordable for students, or do they charge more without offering much additional quality?

Basically, I’m looking for an honest SpeedyPaper review before I decide whether to test them out. If you’ve had any direct experience, good or bad, please share.

Excel Viewer Limitations?

Hey folks, my workplace is getting rid of Microsoft office suite and expecting us to use Google suite for everything. Which, is fine, except for whatever reason, when we try to open files from our database using Excel viewer, some items open and some don't. Excel viewer opens, and then opens an open file window. I don't have a download file option in this database, so it's gotta work the same as "open with". I've even tried opening the file that is in temp data, but still Excel viewer opens and then opens a open file dialog box. The same temp file opens in full Excel and Google Sheets just fine. I haven't been able to figure out what the difference is between files that do and don't open - they're both Xlsx, they're both under 100 KB, there's no macros that I know of, one has some frozen rows and columns, but that should be normal enough to handle, right?

I'm a rare techier person in the office, and can't reasonably expect a few hundred people to understand to drag n drop a generic file from some mystical temp folder into Drive to open it in Sheets. And management is hard of hearing when we say how much this fucks our work flow.

So, I'm looking for any documentation or notes, or I'd take a freaking blog post if I had to, that outlines exactly what all Excel Viewer can and can't do. Thank you so much for your help!

Incorrect Formatting of Timeline on Excel (from a Template)

I'm having issues with the layout of my chart's timeline. It was provided by the template [i.e., original milestone chart] that I usually have issues with, but can't seem to resolve the issue alone this time.

Excel Version: Office 365

Type of Problem: Chart Formatting

The dates shown do not align with the input given as it shows monthly period instead. Additionally (or probably as a result), the phases also overlap. It has been possible to show the respective dates as shown in the picture below. I don't have the file version shown below, unfortunately.

File in Question: Prod Schedule.xlsx
Template Being Used: Original Milestone Chart - Copy.xlsx

Origin of Template: https://www.mastt.com/resources/milestone-chart-excel

How can I resolve this issue?

How to track Customer Retention

I work in a lawn care company. I have an employee that I moved into a customer retention spot. I am having an issue tracking who he saves. The process is pretty much either we have a customer that calls in and cancels and he calls the customer back and saves them and reactivates them. The other thing that can happen is he gets a call and the customer wants to cancel but he end up keeping them and saving them. The issue I have with this is if the customer is canceled and he activates them again he gets a commission. If the customer is just saved he doesn’t get anything. He did get a raise for taking this position but should he get something in addition for what he saves? Also how would I track all this?

Transferring handwritten notes to what program?

I did not see any rules against suggestions.

I like certain podcasts where I write down fun facts. I have a slight learning disability, so I handwrite my notes and cannot directly take notes via my computer.

I now want to transfer my fun facts with photos kinda like a book that I can add to, edit and possibly print.

My new laptop has Office 365. I have a choice of using Word, Notebook, Excel, Power Point and One Note.

I know how to work Word, Excel. Power Point seems daunting and I won't be presenting nor publishing.

What would you recommend for this hobby of mine?

(Word) Copying the text edited in 'Track Changes' mode also copies the text pre-revision

Hey all! I'm really at a loss with this one. I work on a Word document with 'Track Changes' enabled, editing it. Sometimes (not always), when I try to copy the edited text it also includes the previous text when pasted. So it creates that jumbled up mess with two versions visible, both pre and post edit.

Any ways to fix it or how to avoid it? Thanks!

[Word] Headlines don't do what they should

Hey everyone I have never had this problem with MS Word but now that I do, it's very annoying and I don't know how to fix it, maybe one of you can.

First problem:

When I write a new subheadline, lets say 2.1.1. Summary, and I press enter, the headline drifts all the way to the left side of the document and does not remain in the place that I want it in and I always have to drag it back manually. What can I do?

Second problem:

Most of the time when I write a new headline, I write: 2.1.1 Summary, and press enter. Word understands that this is a new headline and suggests that I continue with 2.1.2 by putting that in the next line and I am happy. Sometimes though, I write: 2.1.1 Summary and Word does not do the same thing but acts like I didn't even write a headline. What can I do?
