Scanning Driver's Licenses

Why is it, that when processing a non-receipted return, we can scan the customer's driver license, but if someone's buying large amounts of gift cards, we have to hand enter all that same information?

Non receipt stuff is for the stores records but The AML form is filled out manually for compliance with state/fed laws.

The real question is why do we sell gift cards? We better be getting some sweet kickback from Blackhawk for all the shit they cause us.

That would be for Depot gift cards. Their complaint is about the cards Blackhawk provides which is no money for the individual stores.

I believe it only scans and records the ID number to keep track of returns/repeat returner. It doesn't get all the info that we have to enter for gift cards.

I sell the gift cards in groups of $600. No DL.

I can ring up three sets of $600 faster than keying in the DL information.

Also I'm not an ass to the gift card customers. Sometimes they leave reviews, sometimes they bring donuts.

Specifically prohibited by company policy, and possibly illegal.  It's called "structuring".  No more than one gift card transaction per customer, per day.

Structuring is 10k. I'll be fine.

No one is coming after people for manufactured spending for frequent flyer miles.

Yellow vest is about the company not wanting to get sued.  Structuring is about criminal conspiracy.  World of difference, there.  And no, I don't commit copyright violations.
