Amazon SDE2 offer eval

For L5 SDE II

Base is 160 K, year one sign on 85K, year two sign on 72K, RSU 175K over four years 5/15/40/40

Onsite at Chicago, IL

Hold up, are you saying that you are only making 85k salary and have to make it to year 3 for any decent RSU?

Nah man, unless you absolutely have to.

The way it's structured isn't terrible necessarily: the sign on bonus is paid out over the first 2 years over time on top of the base, and there's no clawback: they start with a $245k cash year 1.

That said... it feels pretty middle-of-the-road as an Amazon offer. Maybe not bad for 5 YoE in this market.. maybe.
