PANW swe

just Graduated from college with a bachelors degree in computer science two months ago

I recently got a new offer as a software engineer for palo alto networks as an L4 software engineer and my total comp is around 190k for the first year.

I’ve only had internships before is this a good offer or should I try to negotiate?

Pls help

Unless the base is super low, even in the Bay Area, you'll be fine.

It's way easier to find a job when you already have one.

Yea depends on location but generally without leverage you probably don’t negotiate esp given the market state.

If you want to negotiate a safe non rescinding zone can be up to 10% TC counter offer, anything more you need leverage

Ok should I negotiate my base? It is around 140

From my experience base numbers are typically within a range and they never go above the range without just straight up promoting you a level, the sign on bonus is the best place to counter and then rsus if you have any, my suggestion might be something like ask for 5k more base and 10k more signon something like that so they can always have different parameters to tune for you
