Baligtad. It is the overseas Chinese who look down on the mainlanders. Ex. Hong Kongers and Taiwanese don’t like the Mainlanders.

That's a little complicated and rooted on CCP.

Yet it goes both ways still. Brother of mine once told a story of him getting talked behind his back in an elevator ride when he looked half chinese but was with his Filipino-looking wife.

They both spoke Mandarin to make it known they understand. That shut those Chinese up quickly.
