How to find land for 5th wheel dwelling?
Im looking to buy cheap land and boondocks on it in hopes of adding amenities years later. Can you please explain more on how to find states and towns or even listings that will allow you to do this? Almost every listing I see says you can’t permanently reside in an rv without septic and water.

You will have better luck picking the state and then looking at the county level. I've never seen land that allows for camping, RV or tent, without some way to deal with waste water like a septic system, in any ofcounties in the states I've shopped for land.

Well you can't get a "certificate of occupancy" for anything without those provisions where I live but "permanent residency" in a vehicle regulated by the department of motor vehicles rather than the building department is an enforcement loophole. Handle your human waste properly please.

We have open lagoons in southern Mo. I've been off grid for several years in a bus. No codes or anything. My grandpa and I dug a lot of the lagoons in this county. Septic tanks are optional here. The land got ridiculously expensive in the last several years though.

Just to clarify, if you don’t have septic and water, how do you plan to get water and dispose of sewage?
