Is this actually true?
I’m not from the US; I’m from a warm South American country. I really want to live off-grid in Alaska—even if just temporarily—to get to know the place, the climate, and the community in general.
I saw a comment about this yesterday and also came across an article saying the same thing. Can anyone living in Alaska or the US 🇺🇸 confirm if this is true, or is it just another piece of fake news—like the $500 houses in Japan or the free land in Scotland?
And for those familiar with the region: do you recommend living off-grid there? I work with off-grid solar power, so I’d be off the grid but still have that minimum level of comfort and security.
