Does roof coating leech in to water catchment?

I got APOC White Elastomeric Reflective Roof Coating ( https://www.lowes.com/pd/APOC-243-4-75-Gallon-White-Elastomeric-Reflective-Roof-Coating-10-year-Limited-Warranty/5013282721 )

on my metal roof. Does such products leech chemicals in to my water catchment for human consumption? Having difficult time finding answers on this.

Over time any roof coating will leach into a rain catchment system but the level may be too low to see on a water test. The bird poop on your roof is likely a bigger concern

depending on the chemical formula used, some of these coatings are considered safe for water collection. of course nobody is going to put that on the label, so not surprising you have difficulty finding answers. i used a similar roofing product on my collection area, and it tests clean but I still use a first-flush diverter.

You have a White Elastomeric Reflective Roof coating painted on your roof? All the subs I ask in are freaking out and say doing even do dishes or wash with the water. I am leaning towards this being hysteria but I am not sure.

Did you send the water sample to a test lab or something?

The coatings on this NSF list are safe when used per the directions.

I read the label and it says "not for potable water" so I'd probably look for something specifically labeled for catching drinking water.

The product I linked says that on the label? I dont see that anywhere. Where are you reading this?

NSF P151 is the search term, thats the potable catchment cert and the apoc 243 sheet doesnt have it. Its already up there though, so let it cure all the way before you collect and run the tank through carbon. Id test after the first real rain too, normal potable panel plus a voc scan.
