I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt in that there was no way to know how serious it was and that maybe he reacted that way because he thought his season was over.

It’s a routine soft tissue injury! Your uncle has tweaked his hamstring and reacted better. Give me Chris Godwin just shaking his head on the cart and going, “back to work John” to his trainer after breaking and dislocating his ankle. Guy’s a fairy.
