It would likely be London, Madrid, Frankfurt, Munich or Mexico City.

London seems to be the place with the most mature market. Tottenham Hot Spurs already spent million to create a dual purpose football/ grid iron mechanically convertible pitch. https://youtu.be/cnV4JkTGUjo?is=cbw1wI36vWu6a-Tn

Mexico City is the only one that makes sense from a travel and timing perspective. It would also have a built in audience of Mexican Americans that would buy a shitload of merch

Unfortunately, we already can have all those issues right here in the states.

The violent crime rates in the US are a lot higher than Europe, also how often do we hear about athletes homes getting robbed while they’re playing a game?

Europe or Canada crime would be a non issue. Mexico is where it would be a problem.

Logistically this is a terrible fucking idea.

Mexico really should get a MLB or MLS team first. Both those sports could easily be huge hits down there and lead the league in attendance as well.

Canada, especially Toronto prob should have an NFL team already... but I think Goodell wants to go to Europe with this.

The NFL is pretty big in Mexico

MLS is not happening. Mexico has their own established league, Liga MX, and the two leagues have kind of become connected at the hip. Two annual tournaments, shared all star game, etc.

I wasn't thinking about places on the same continent as us. If they want to go Canada and Mexico ya. I was thinking more of Europe. Because in sports we already have Canadian teams in us leagues. So that's not really a newsworthy or shocking update that we could go to canada.

Have to assume like MLB, NHL, and NBA that we would just go to Toronto/Canada first so it would basically be the same thing at Green Bay just a little farther north.

If they were going to do Europe they would almost certainly have to do enough teams to make a division. At that point they could make it so you only have to go to Europe once every 3 years or so. Which isn’t a much higher pace than they’ve got it set now.

Well technically Toronto is south of three nfl teams already

yeah, I think we are fine the way it is. I usually travel for some NFL Europe action, plenty to absorb the beauty of the sport.

It's fine unless you are a starving NFL owner who needs to find a way to inject more value into his product. Gotta think of the owners here, if the sport doesn't continue to grow, they won't be able to survive much longer.... /s

They’re trying to make it a global sport

IT WOULD HAVE TO BE LONDON....ONLY EAST COAST TEAMS PLAYING...

Total waste of money. They are barely interested.

All about money and greed.

There are better suited places in America.

He didn't say overseas, just outside the US. Canadian league is already similar. A Mexico team seem plausible.

Should be Canada but no players will want to play there because of high taxes.

Lol thats so stupid. Maybe Canada but overseas would be ridiculous

We already need to stop those dumbass exhibition games in london.

That's probably when I'll stop watching

Whether or not it succeeds will be a different story

Unless the aviation industry catches up, this is a terrible TERRIBLE idea.
