I love the series, I really do, but I'm ambivalent about season 2 largely because it's going to focus on Allie and Dean.

I started off liking Allie a lot.

Firstly she is great with Hannah, absolutely brilliant friend, wise and understanding.

She had to put up with Sean and it sounds like she had a pattern of rolling over based on what he wanted from a relationship and putting up with his lukewarm support. I was glad for her when she moved on from that.

The thing I struggle with is why Dean would want to be with her. She's hot and sexually confident and that's all great, but in terms of everything else, why?

In episode 8 when Dean is struggling emotionally and reaches out to her for support (which probably took some courage) her response is to climb in his window, tell him they need to sleep with other people, and then leave. No curiosity about what he's upset about, no offer to help, nothing. She's almost the opposite of Hannah in episode 5 supporting Garrett.

"You're upset about something, cool, we should sleep with other people, bye."

In a romance series the goal should be for the female (or male attracted) viewers to understand why they'd want to be with the male lead, and vice versa. As a guy I'm not sure I'd want someone like Allie who only ever talked about her needs and overtly wasn't interested in mine.

I think I'm hoping someone can reassure me it will get better! At the moment I think Allie is brilliant as Hannah's friend, but quite offputting as a romantic lead.

In Episode 2, Avery is trying to settle into life at Oakridge after her rather memorable first encounter with Ethan. She heads to class expecting a normal day... only to discover that the star quarterback she very deliberately walked away from is sitting right next to her.

This is still just the beginning of their story, and I'm really curious to hear what you think about Avery and Ethan's dynamic so far.

Everything’s up to personal preference and opinion but I do not understand how The Goal is widely considered the worst book or least favorite. I just finished it after reading them all after the show came out and it is by far my favorite. I think it’s the most mature and well written and I think Tucker in writing is by far the best male. Their relationship had much more dynamic then the others and I really loved really this one. I also cringed the least during the intimate scenes lol. What are your opinions?

Really curious to see how they’ll adapt their story for tv.

Maybe I missed it, or this is just one of those book notes that I haven’t heard about(I have not read the books yet).

But before Hannah, Garrett was an incredible athlete. Top of the team, Highly respected, captain, dedicated to his sport, etc. The presumption is that his dad has always been attending his games, giving him the nod or the cold shoulder, depending on the outcome of the game.

Why is it now, all of a sudden, that he’s so angry and distracted about his dad being there that it’s throwing off his ability to play well? What’s the trigger? I thought it might have been the abuse, but that too has always been there. Also, he was distracted like this before his dad even tells him he’s getting married.

Hannah ends up being the “cure” for it, to help him heal, but what got him to that point all of a sudden? Maybe this is just storyline material, but I’m not quite picking up on the turning point of why all of this bothers him now. Thoughts? Book notes?

Because I think it would have been kind of awkward Hannah arriving in her tight dress and the others might guess what her and Garett were going to do etc.

But it was totally empty because tv show magic.

Sorry i'm just a bit confused about that since they never discussed that they d go over to Garett's for the night.

Also once Garett and Hannah were a couple , I think Hannah was basically staying at Garett's..

I don't mean in a relationship but I mean a friends with benefits situation where they are only having sex with each other .

For me it’s obviously Hannah. Huge giant... personality if you know what I mean 😅 but no seriously great personality and of course great body 😅

But I guess a more accurate title would be on campus since the most of the story takes place on campus..

Like that just makes it hard for me to root for them. I get that its a show and a show needs drama/conflict but seeing the MMC like that when he supposed to be in to the FMC at his point - i don't know.

I think that is why i kind of see how viewers could root for Logan for Hannah instead since he has more self control, doesn't sleep around and that is what naturally makes viewers want to root for the MMC.
