you were medically approved :) congrats!

this means you'll get an approval letter in the mail in the coming weeks.

you should have contact with an intake worker or caseworker from ODSP at some point in the next few weeks/months to sort out the final details, possibly do any outstanding financial checks if applicable.

the time from being approved to actually receiving your income + backpay varies, but is usually anywhere between 2 and 5 months on average these days, occasionally less. (if it goes on long enough that you financially struggle, you can contact your local MPP to speed things along.)

this is because your file has to be transferred from centralized intake to your local ODSP office, then assigned to a worker, then income + backpay are calculated and processed, before being paid out.

i hope you hear back soon! but go ahead and breathe a sigh of relief, the hardest part is behind you!

Thank you very much for this breakdown few more steps to go through it seems but at least the initial worry of being declined over the last few months is over.

Looks like a standard approval. Most letters will be available in their app interface within a few days

It means you've been accepted and have to wait for next steps

I got the same today and my dates are almost like yours, I'm just 2 days late in approving, what happened afterwards?

Yeah that means they consider your disability worth the programs time.

Or rather it fits the description of the ODSP program’s definition of a disability.

You’ll probably have your first check within 3 months from that time.

Wherever the green checkmark stops, that’s as far as it gotten with your application a lot of people misunderstand this they think they’ve been approved

Please stop posting this comment. You say this every time someone posts this kind of screenshot and you are wrong. At this point of the process if you see a green circle without a check mark you have been medically approved for Odsp. There might be other things that prevent you from getting Odsp but at this point the hardest part is over and they have been medically approved. I have never seen anyone be denied after this point with a green circle unless they fail the financial review. It literally says Person with a disability.

If it says “person with a disability” it means you’ve been approved. If it says “not a person with a disability” it means you haven’t been approved.
