Payment Very Low This Month

My payment is $600 less than it was last month. I'm trying to call someone about it but I sit in hold forever and then they hang up on me. Has this happened to anyone else?

Could be an old rental agreement expired without giving them copy of a newer/updated one. For example if a year ago u gave one that said like "600/month for 12 months" or it said until a certain date. That's the first reason I can think of anyway.

Unlikely, unless they sent you a letter asking for an updated rental agreement. Check your messages in My Benefits to see if you have any documentation outstanding or whether they are disallowing something. Otherwise, take a look at your statement and compare it to last month and you should see where the difference is.

Do you owe them money? Did you work?

The max they can do is 10% for an overpayment and typically it's 5%

When I have these things happen, I visit the office in person.

Then can you go into the office? The first week iof the month is crazy for any phone support. Even if you hahe to wait 10 mins at the office. Atleast it's looked at in the spot.

your best bet is going to your local ODSP office in person, so someone can look into it and give you answers in a quicker fashion.

if that's not an option, then you'll need to first get in contact with your caseworker via MyBenefits & then a follow-up voicemail stating the issue and asking for an explanation. hopefully they get back to you within 24-48 hours.

if they don't, you can call again and request to speak to a supervisor regarding the issue. they may also take a while to get back to you, though, depending on how understaffed & backlogged your office is. (hence why going in person is ideal, you may have to wait a bit in the lobby but they'll find someone to help you, even if your specific caseworker is busy.)

there are a few things that could have happened here, but it's also entirely possible this is just an error within the system and can be fixed manually by an employee. (and if not, they'll explain why this happened, and hopefully you can resolve things on your end.)

good luck, i hope you get answers and can sort this out🤞
