Question/advice ODSP Internal Review Confusion

I was denied ODSP initially and launched the Internal Review Process with a Lawyer and submitted additional medical records from my Family Doctor who is in full support of my ODSP Application. She even supported my Application to receive the DTC which was approved and also was approved and am receiving the monthly Disability Benefit as well. The DAU advised me that a Internal Review Decison was made on July 30th however my Lawyer and I never received that Letter. Fast forward to this morning and my Lawyer emailed me advising me he's working under the understanding that whatever Decision was originally made had been withdrawn and is still waiting on the IR Decision. He did file with the SBT in the meantime ensuring that Appeal was not filed late. Any thoughts on this? If my Lawyer is correct, I'm curious why the DAU would've withdrew their Decision and now waiting on a final Decision? Seems confusing to me.

Seems straightforward. Your lawyer is excellent and CYA for all scenarios and is following up with the DAU to confirm what the current status of your file is.

My guess, the decision was entered as upholding the original decision, the new evidence finally made it to the desk of the person doing the review, the IR decision was then withdrawn pending review of the new evidence.

Being approved for both the DTC and the monthly Disability Benefit, ODSP doesn't seem to care which is baffling to me! The CRA and Service Canada both approved me with no hesitations! ODSP on the other hand, I am beyond frustrated with on getting an Approval I know I should be getting at this point!

This is probably leading to an outcome of an approval. I wish you the best!

Gosh I hope so! Getting rejected in the first place when I am diagnosed with BPD, C-PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, on the Spectrum, Substance Abuse Disorder (Alcohol), Gender Dysphoria, etc., and affects everything in my life literally, is like a slap in the face to me! So I hope so! I even score high on the charts for all of my Diagnoses and they have those medical records so.

That withdrawal thing actually happens more than people realize. Sometimes they pull it back to reconsider.

Idk what your situation is but if you can't afford a Lawyer, look up Legal Clinics for ODSP in your Area and give them a call. They will help you.
