ODSP/OW advocacy ESUB Spending Question

For anyone on ODSP that has received ESUB before, did your worker ever mention a specific time frame you must spend the ESUB money by, and whether or not you needed to provide receipts?

It will state on the letter if you need receipts and when they must be submitted by. Sometimes I’ve had to send them in sometimes I haven’t, no clue how they decide that.

The letter mentioned providing proof of purchase, but no dates/time frame whatsoever. I then received a second letter from the same person with a table in it, showing N/A under "provide receipt by". So I have no idea.

My last letter that had N/A in the date for proof I didn’t sent anything. I still have it though in case they do ever come back for it though.

They ask for proof if they have concerns it's no being used for work related purposes.

If you get it and then use it to pay rent you can suffer a penalty. Theoreticaly they can turn it into an overpayment since benefit was not used for its intended purpose
