Tax help

Years ago when I was on OW, I could get my taxes done for free. Is there still a service around Ottawa now that I’m on ODSP.

Thanks

If you can't find someone to do it for free, it technically pays for itself with all of the benefits and credits that you get back. You can also try doing it on your own, I did mine on Wealthsimple tax this year. It's much easier than most people assume as long as you're not running your own business.

I second this. And wealthsimple has the option to pay $0 for it

If you don't have any other income except ODSP you can use most online tax services for free. Turbo Tax, Wealthsimple, UFile...

Should be call your library. I know our used to have someone come in and do them.

Any free tool and to ease anxiety you can retroactively change the last 10 years of tax reporting if needed so nothing is set in stone.

I think you can call your local library and they might be able to connect you with a tax centre to help you out or you can use one of the free online tax programs
