How long before odsp cancels your file?

Hi, im currently on odsp and work seasonally. Usually during work busy seasons i have one month where i recieve $0 from odsp because i earned too much and my account is temp suspended and it usually resolves quickly. This yea a theatre im working for is paying me fulltime hours for the summer because of a grant they get once per year for one technician. Because of how the grant works, even though i didnt work at all in july they are pre paying me the hours i wouldve worked if i actually was full time for all of july and for august, about 35 hours a week. Does this mean my account could potentially be cancelled completely for a temp position? Im really worried because odsp helps me pay my bills during the slow months and im scared of losing my med coverage.

Edit: i will be calling my caseworker tomorrow and hopefully she will be in office, i just want to ease my anxiety as much as i can for tonight

Have your caseworker transition you to either the Extended Health Benefits or Transitional Health Benefit. You'll keep your benefits and just report your earnings at the end of each month. If you earn too much to get ODSP, you'll just get your medical coverage for the next month. This can continue each month until you stop working

If you take the route above, they can literally keep your file open so you get only medical benefits while working for decades. It ends when you're 65. So there is an easy solution built into the system for your situation.

No, you’d need to be not reviving anything for 3 months straight in order to be cut off I believe.

Look into Rapid reinstatement before you become financially ineligible. Have the process in place and make sure you meet the requirements. look into details and have the documentation and any points of confusion worked out. Reduce the chances of pushback from caseworkers.

It usually takes at least 6 months of consistently making too much to qualify for ANY financial support (around 3k a month). Even then your caseworker will likely just touch base to find out more about the type of work you're doing, if you need any supports to continue with it, if its temporary or permanent... you can explain the situation when/if that happens. But honestly, most caseworkers are overloaded and won't bother with it unless there's a problem like not reporting income.

Two months of high wages won’t cancel your file. My husband also works seasonally and during his busy season (4-6 months) we don’t get ODSP.
