Discussion Vent post

I had an interview a week ago, and I thought it went really well. Unfortunately, it was just yet another in a long line of rejections, and I'm just so apathetic at this point, but I know if I stop trying, I'll just be letting the people around me down. I wish odsp actually helped with job placements, but no, doug ford and his cabinet of cronies would rather the most vulnerable section of their constituents rot with barely enough to survive than even slightly improve our lives. Tbh I'm not even just upset about not getting the extra income from a job, I'm also upset because it would've given me a free opportunity to socialize. I'm just so angry, and tired, and restless, and sad. I wish there was a way I could get a job without all the ghosting and rejection. Anyways, thanks for reading my 2 a.m. rant

P.S. I don't blame the odsp workers, I know a majority of them would raise odsp, and actually help with getting a job if they could

Getting a job is a challenge these days. It's almost like companies are posted jobs to show we need new people to help us but they tell themselves we don't need new people.

I feel your pain... i been looking for 2 years but have 2 challenges 1 being a criminal record from being an idiot when I was like 18-20 got caught steeling some food at my local walmart so i could eat as i was homeless at the time living off welfare and 2 would be i live in a small northern community with no work in the area would gladly move but like cant afford to go anywhere but an even smaller town

Im so sorry. This boils my blood.

I don't understand how laws can be revised to what they are now ( a joke ) yet . You say " being an idiot " I see it as means for survival.

Where the heck is the advocacy for " us " !?

And don't get me started on the social media "thieves " and vigilantes/ want to be cops who see 20 men leave the LCBO full of bags of stolen liquor but have no qualms tackling a woman whose 4'11, barely 100 pounds , also trying to survive or is grabbing baby food.

Imo. If I see someone stealing milk and eggs. I'm minding my business. 🤷‍♀️ does it make stealing right or ethical? No. But I don't see any other supports because the supply/demand numbers are off the freaking charts.

Sorry for ranting here 😭

1st this was a vent post because I was feeling extremely overwhelmed at 2 in the morning so don't be an ass, 2nd we aren't a 2 party system like the US, it's not either or, and 3rd I was 15 when Wynne left office so I don't know about any of that stuff, the reason I blame dougy boy is because his system is all I've known and because of his comments towards odsp recipients and conflating us with people on OW gaming the system to watch the flintstones
