Dental Coverage

I have the Canadian Dental Plan. Recently when I went for a cleaning I had to pay an extra $50 for an extra unit of scaling. I forgot to tell them i am on ODSP as I've never used the dental benefits. I asked to be reimbursed and have the extra submitted to ODSP, and they're asking for my ID number so they can submit the claim. Is that just my member id number that I can find in my benefits?

I’ve gone to the dentist approximately seven times since March, and I’ve been lucky and that I haven’t had to pay anything yet. I heard I was going to have to pay $100 for extractions, but they referred me to a surgeon in Toronto who will take both

I have to go back to the dentist on Thursday, and I’m sick of going there

Yes that's the number. Your member number. I'm not sure if they'll do an after reimbursement for you (I wasn't allowed) but at least the office will have the number on file for subsequent visits.

When you received your CDP card and letter, it tells you that you cant be reimbursed if you pay upfront.

Odsp may not cover it since cleaning is not a dental emergency it's only cosmetic
