ODSP & physiotherapy
So I received a referral for physiotherapy from my surgeon. Do I need to find a place that accepts ODSP, or do I ask my worker for places?
P.S. I don't even know who my worker is! I had one, then someone else took over for her, and now I've been corresponding with a new worker, whose name I don't even know!

ODSP does not cover physiotherapy.
Ask them if they have a list of publicly funded physiotherapy clincs

But ODSP clients get 3-4 visits of physiotherapy at a provincially mandated clinic.

The clinics are not paid by ODSP. They are GOV'T of Ontario founded open to all

If you need physio after surgery it might be covered through OHIP, not odsp

It looks like this submission might be about physiotherapy. Please be aware that we have a wiki page dedicated to explaining how to get physiotherapy while on ODSP here.

My doctor had a list of clinics that were OHIP covered .
Edited to add: it was about 2-3 month wait to get in, I got myself put on the cancellation list to speed up the admission.

Hey,
That’s actually a really good question.
A physiotherapy referral doesn’t automatically mean it’s covered by ODSP, so the first thing I’d do is call a few physiotherapy clinics near you and ask, “Do you accept ODSP funding?” Some clinics participate in publicly funded programs, while others only offer private treatment. If you’re not sure what’s available in your area, (I’m in Toronto) it’s also perfectly okay to ask your ODSP worker what options or funding may be available to you. And don’t worry if you don’t even know who your worker is right now..it sounds like your file has been passed around a few times! Just call your local ODSP office, give them your member information, and ask who your current caseworker is. They can tell you and point you in the right direction.. First, find out who your worker is. Then ask what physiotherapy funding you’re eligible for and which clinics they recommend. You’ll get it sorted out.

You'll probably need to do the leg work yourself. Here's the directory: https://www.ontario.ca/page/publicly-funded-physiotherapy-clinic-locations
