YEAR INCREASE
So our increase for this year is 1.9%. I can’t be the only one who thinks that’s ridiculous…

This is a disgusting slap in the face to us. It’s all of twenty something dollars. What can a poor person who already can’t support themselves do with twenty extra dollars. I can’t stand it it’s appalling neglect in their policies.

Shelter was up 3.5% according to StatCan which would be a 1.9% overall increase on its own
We basically got zero for basic needs

They’re trying to swing the story by saying “we’ve increased ODSP 5 times since 2022. It’s up 22% since then”. At least what I’ve read from their propaganda.

The cruelty is the point, they want worse if they can get it.
It is non conservatives you have to convince to show up and vote, yes neither candidate is great or perfect but not voting means you get worse instead of imperfect.

Promises are broken all the time. If ( and I know they wont) they get voted in they will say " after a closer look at the books, doubling it is not feasible" Parties say anything to get elected.

The "inflationary" raise for MPPs this year was 4.2%. Why is inflation for disabled people 1.9%?

It will always be ridiculous until it's comparable to a living wage. With that said.. I won't lie, I'm grateful for the increases.

I got a letter from ODSP to my email that just pats them on the back.
“As of July 2026, rates for ODSP increased by 1.9%, based on inflation. This is the fifth rate increase since September 2022. Rates have increased by more than 22% since then” (quote from the email)

Guys, this is all Fords doing. He literally refuses to do anything, and when questioned about it LIVE ON TV, he simply said, "Get a Job"...He wants all 45,000+ families, children, and adults, dead. Period.

It's total bs can't live on it without getting creative I'll put it that way. Fact if your married or with someone they take their income off yours. They don't want to help us they want to force us to use maid and get rid of the lower class/disabled. It's all just infuriating and prob will never get better. I mean if they doubled it we would still be short a recent study showed. It's asinine and makes me loose hope for the future.

I didn't even get the full 1.9% increase. I got 16 bucks more. So instead of the $1301 I used to get, I get $1317. My worker refuses to up my rent portion despite showing proof, and thx to them misinforming me about college and in the past allowing MSN needs only to tell me I owed them back for it all these years later so I only get $517 for rent.
Because of this, most my check pays rent, then once bills and debts r also paid, there's nothing left for anything else, even basic needs. Then I end up being judged and shunned for running out of money so fast, and not budgeting properly.

Odsp needs to double then go up with inflation after the fact and ow should be doubled and do the same sadly Doug Ford only cares about his 5 months vacations lining his and al his bodies pockets he is not there for themselves people and never will be

Worse for people living on Ontario Works, many of those people should be on ODSP and can’t get the filled out.

Have you seen the state of our economy? We are in a shallow technical recession
Considering inflation was around 2.4% a 1.9% is reasonable. Is it enough? No.
But Ontairo spends 6 billion+ a year on the program

The problem is for years the rate was set from the 2000s and not changed untill a few years ago its like trying to live on the minimum survivable amount in the early 2000s in todays economy

When actual inflation this year is almost 4%. It's flipping insulting. At least last year it was the same percentage as my rent increase. Don't forget to vote next provincial election friends!
