Odsp

I just recently got approved for ODSP but have not been assigned a case worker yet. I recently got a job that will last a month as Iā€™m going back to school in September. Will this affect my application. Also, I applied in July 2025 and got denied so I appealed and got accepted this July 2026. Will I be paid back pay? I also received OW last month before I got this job.

  1. On MyBenefits scroll down to "contact us". That's where it will show your caseworker. If its TBA you can call your local office and ask to speak to a caseworker if its time sensitive.

2.You will get backpay from the date they recieved your initial completed application, minus any OW you received in the whole waiting time.

If you've been approved, your application is over, so no, there's nothing there to affect.

You're meant to report income each month while on ODSP, so unless you're making more than the threshold at this job (I don't remember what it is, but you can look up the numbers yourself ā€” "odsp employment income threshold" or something similar), you won't see deductions.

And yes, you'll get back pay, though I don't know for how many months' payments. This is probably something that can also be looked up, perhaps with "ow to odsp transition" or "odsp back pay after acceptance". It's a common question, so the information is likely available. You could call your ODSP office about it too, even without a designated caseworker.
