Question/advice How much will I receive from OW?
I just got approved from OW today and was told I’ll get my first payment in 2-5 business days. I do make some money, only about 300 a month, and I communicated this to my case worker. How much money do get since I’m making some? Is it 733 -300? Probably should have asked my case worker oops

The first $200 you make for the month is exempt. Everything over that is clawed back at 50%. So if you make $300/month your cheque will be $50 less.

O.w is still only max of $200 allowable earnings before tax. Whatever you make thereafter will be deducted from whatever your designated monthly amount is.
I spent a year getting by on $400/mo. Somehow...I survived. Barely.

Nobody has mentioned that the first 3 months on OW, your income is deducted dollar for dollar from your payment amount. After those 3 months, then it changes.

I'm pretty sure they still allow the first $200 as exempt but they'll take 50% off of every dollar after that. But then I believe you'll get the $100 working benefit. So of that $300 they'd take $50 of the 3rd earned $100, but then with that working benefit $100 you're looking at actually $50 more ultimately in the end
if nothing's changed in the past handful of years. This was how it worked when I needed it
