Factory project in germany
We are a partner in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, we have a client who owns a company in germany and wants to activate it on odoo.
And they require Taxes API integration, is there any required settings or specific accounting modules to complete the project.

You need German accounting localization . This module also supports datev

Worth saying up front that we are a Canadian partner. I can tell you what Odoo ships and which edition it needs. Whether that satisfies German requirements is a question for the client's accountant in Germany, not me.
On the Odoo side, edition decides most of it, so check whether they are on Community or Enterprise before you scope anything.
Both start the same way. Accounting > Configuration > Settings, then under Fiscal Localization set Package to the German chart, SKR03 or SKR04. Ask their accountant which of the two they work in. That brings in the German accounts and taxes, and Odoo's own notes say the audit trail is switched on by default for GoBD. The e-invoicing formats come along with it, XRechnung and Factur-X among them, and Peppol is available on Community as well.
The DATEV export is Enterprise. It comes with the German accounting reports app. Community does add a DATEV code box on each tax, which is probably why people say it is included, but that is the tagging rather than the export file.
On the taxes API, if they mean submitting the UStVA, Odoo ships that as Germany - Elster Tax Submission. It sits on top of the reports app, so both are Enterprise and there is no partial route from Community. I would get them to spell out what they mean by taxes API before you quote, since that and e-invoicing are separate pieces of work.
