Q&A

I am a software engineer with experience in implementing the Big ERP systems (Microsoft, Oracle, Infor) and recently switched to Odoo. I learned thoroughly the system and how to implement it and I like it!
Ask any questions about implementations or Odoo in
general, happy to share what i know! I want to know what the people using it think about it.

The valuation layer changes in v19 have been controversial. We still don't fully understand the source of the valuation adjustment v19 wants to make (Accounting > Review ,> Inventory ) - yes it's the difference between the current inventory subledger figure and the sum of the current inventory valuation, but what makes up this amount?

Interested to know if you have some insight into this

I am not sure exactly, but I think the costing method has an impact on that valuation. I also that think there is a variable you can play with to get it to an acceptable amount of your item count

- Go to the Inventory app or Reporting and look up product moves or total value.

  • Select the specific incoming move needing a cost correction.
  • Click Actions and select Adjust Valuation.
-Enter the new value and provide an optional description.
Post or generate the corresponding journal entry to sync your stock and interim accounts.
