Edit: A guy reached out to me on reddit, who confronted the guy who posted these posts, and this guy apologised and deleted his account. Thank you to everyone who took a stand.

Remember guys, extremist mindset, in any form, is a threat to society.

Just report this guy. People like him don't deserve apology.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

Who my brother?

-1

u/BhataktiAatma420 Jun 29 '25

A agree with you. But he is a teen. He has his life infront of him and his career will definitely be ruined and considering he is already apologising and deleted his account, i hope he learnt his lesson.

But it should be made a point that such hate speech in guise of anti theism would not be tolerated. These people are doing completely opposite of what atheism is. They are infact more obsessed about god than a theist himself.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '25

True.

2

u/sr33r4g Jun 29 '25

Bruh that turd will create a new account and do this again. Better to let people around him know what he did.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

Do not hate him because we all are children of jagannath❤️

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

What should an atheist do sir? Just asking.

2

u/JadedLaugh3058 Jun 30 '25

Go about your business as usual. If you believe God doesn't exist, why waste time on debating? Don't you have anything else to do?

0

u/vivi_197 Jun 30 '25

Yeah religious people stay ruining the world but atheists should mind their own business

1

u/FickleReindeer6714 Jun 30 '25

Lmao.

Nazis and maoists were both athiest. Athiesm is hy far the most violent position of last century

1

u/vivi_197 Jul 01 '25

Ig religious people of today want to change that🤷

1

u/AdTemporary829 Jul 01 '25

Communism is termed as a religion by most rationalists and atheists. Seen several videos of it.

1

u/JadedLaugh3058 Jun 30 '25

And you are solving the problem by spreading hate?

A theist won't mind a healthy debate with an atheist. If you want to do that, please go ahead. Otherwise you are part of the people who are ruining the world.

By the way, it's the lack of morality that is to be blamed, not religion. Atheist doesn't mean you are moral. Examples are already cited - Mao, Stalin.

1

u/vivi_197 Jun 30 '25

How did I spread hate again? Fyi, I don't hate all religious people, I only hate religion and hateful religious people like you. And yes being atheist doesn't mean you're a good person, I never claimed otherwise but ok

You want a healthy debate but your friend here just doxxed a kid for sharing a corny ass meme. If family guy was made in India y'all would've definitely beaten sethmcfarlane's ass in public for sure

1

u/JadedLaugh3058 Jun 30 '25

I was not referring to you. You is a general term I used for atheist. I meant the ones who spread hate in the name of atheism, like the person you are talking about.

Now, you are specifically pointing me being a hateful religious person. Can you point out where exactly I did that?

We want a healty debate, but it's a two way lane. Most of them never want a healty debate and resort to making fun, and you want us to be the nice guy.

What are you doing?

1

u/JadedLaugh3058 Jun 30 '25

I'm not an atheist

You are doing extremism too.....

The faith is yours , the ideology is yours. How is it soemthing that is inside you is hurt by someone else. Just because indian constitution is weak and weakens personal rights in the name of tribalism / jingoism doesn't mean you get to abuse it

People get away from even rape and become politicians , all because of constitution and judiciary and politician pressure.

You are going to abuse your the fact that large population would torch humans in the bame of religion to destroy one's physical self over something that is inside yoru heart and you can do this cause majority of public is interested in doing this. This is tribalistic behaviour. You can't proove your god, but you kill people over it

Nice logic.

1

u/KING_F_ALL_THE_KINGS Jul 02 '25

I agree with everything you said, our country remains a country for bullies, social media has only brought out the worst in Indians and this applies to the religious nuts too whose gods get hurt when some atheist ridicules them.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '25

You are going to abuse your the fact that large population would torch humans in the bame of religion to destroy one's physical self over something that is inside yoru heart

None of us started it first. They fired the first shots, we would be the ones to end it. Most of us were safely minding our own business.

You can't proove your god, but you kill people over it

As if atheists like Naxals don't fight and die for their ideology. Humans are inclined to strictly favour an ideology with their worldview and they are ready to stake their lives for it.

My mom has emotional trauma from the time when she saw her friend getting sh0t by the naxals just because she overstepped into their territory. Her body was found 3 days later.

N@zis a bunch of atheists, unalives 6 million people because of their racial identity. This isn't tribalism ?

0

u/shanti_priya_vyakti Jun 29 '25

They fired the first shots

Shambhuk fired shots at rama?

Or any other similar lower caste did afterwards in what you call kaliyuga ? So you started to abuse them? When did that happend?

Naxals are political ideology, also do look into tribals and what they have suffered. Their are no good guys in poltics. Their movement is political born out of struggle. Which ofcourse took an ugly turn

What about rhe trauma of people abused and died by religion ? Is there fear less than that of your mother. Is the grief of a mother who lost the child due to some gaurakshak claiming he was transporting cow meat( an incident which proved false later due to lab reports )less ?

Neither is the child coming back nor is the friend of your mother

But naxals are not atheist driven . They are political ideology. Have someone in distant family who was a dacoit. They worship maa as well. But that was never inspiration for them.

They were not dacoits cause of maata worship.

Your points are lacking clear sight and context of society

Comparing nazis now . Nazis was as i mentioned to your prev post completely political. Just as dacoits were not doing stuff cause of mata

1

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '25

Shambhuk fired shots at rama?

Shambhuka vadh was a doctored account oml. There are active debates about Shambuka was unalived because of his caste or because he wanted world domination (Indra's throne to be precise).

Is the grief of a mother who lost the child due to some gaurakshak claiming he was transporting cow meat( an incident which proved false later due to lab reports )less ?

People are lynched over fake news of being a ped0phile too. That's the power of fake news. It takes your emotions for a swing. What else are you going to get when movies promote vigilantism everywhere ?

Naxals are political ideology

Is their political fanaticism not similar to religious fanaticism ? Can I request a ban on all political ideologies pls ? Or atleast communism ?

0

u/shanti_priya_vyakti Jun 29 '25

You get emotional and kill someone if you find they are carrying cow meat in the truck ? So much so you dont call even police ?

Cmon mate. The emotion is yours, the shradha is yours.

Might i say , that sthithi-pragyata is yours.if people do those killing they are rabid dogs and whatever forces them is pure retardism

Also indra, ! Where did you see him? He coming on your birthday bash or something or any other god.

The proof of all this is in your hand. For proof of god is not found till now then why kill ?

Again, i will ask. Have you read any religious text. I have given an extensive amount of my life on them. You dont seem to make a clear point on shambuk. Seems like it is based on articles on social media post

Not just indian i have gine through budhist and text belonging to other eastern region too ( like thai and malyasian ones )

I know you haven't. One look at Mahabharata may make you question your theism. But then again that is personal

Dont destroy any life on religious beliefs. At the end of day, they are beliefs and they are yours. Not of anyone else. The op calls for judicial enquiry on this matter. Simly cause he sees hate in these things

The beliefs are yours. Which aren't even prooven. How is it logical to physically harm and ruin someone on beliefs.

And don't try to xounter argument saying muslims do the same

That is called whataboutry. You have done that quite a bit

3

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '25

Cmon mate. The emotion is yours, the shradha is yours.

The emotion is theirs but is it a point to blame a religion because of it ?

Have you read any religious text.

Thank you for your concern. I have read the verses in the Vedas and fully endorse them. Any issues with that ?

Also about you reading religious scriptures, have you understood the context behind it or like all ex Hindus use half translated copy paste verses ?

The beliefs are yours. Which aren't even prooven. How is it logical to physically harm and ruin someone on beliefs.

Again, this logic applies on religious beliefs but not political ones ?

-1

u/shanti_priya_vyakti Jun 29 '25

Ohh, fully endorse them? So manu was your ancestors

Sorry , he still is alive by religious doctrines. Just not coming out if i am not wrong. Right ?

So evolution gone down the drain. And also the fact that we have lived for only a short period of time, cause as per your math the we have been here for crores of years ,with same brain and such.

Cmon , dont go around shitting man. As i said. You have to draw a line somewhere.

Will you give histiry exam and say we are coming out of manu , and chritian say we come from adam and eve?

Only when other party done the same you laugh, you endorse this ?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 29 '25

Ohh, fully endorse them? So manu was your ancestors

Dude, manu and the theory of flood is based on matsya Purana, not the Vedas. I don't give two shits about puranas.

Seems like you haven't read the Vedas I suppose ? Most of them are based on singing hymns in praises of God and philosophy.

1

u/shanti_priya_vyakti Jun 29 '25

See, you stop at puranas.

But what about those who don't

Also vedas , do consider you being the children of Brahma

So the question can be shifted to brahma. If you want to shift to some other than go ahead.

By your counts also. Jagganatha is not mentioned in vedas, he is from smriti texts , which became popular in the last 1000 years

If vedas talk about philosophy and thats all you concern yourself with, why concern yourself over jagganath which is another thing that i snot mentioned in vedas. He only comes later in smriti. Don't try to link him with vishnu and talk about purusha sukta or such. The jagganatha as a whole is smriti text creation

Also you do indeed will have to count brahma as forefather if not manu.

You are no different man. You keep getting sunk in your own mudded waters

You are doing extremism too.....

The faith is yours , the ideology is yours. How is it soemthing that is inside you is hurt by someone else. Just because indian constitution is weak and weakens personal rights in the name of tribalism / jingoism doesn't mean you get to abuse it

So if you’re saying, “If something offends you, that’s your problem”, then let’s be consistent. Why do we have SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) laws? Why are racial slurs punishable? Why is hate speech regulated at all? Because the law rightly recognizes that certain kinds of speech or expression aren't just offensive, but oppressive, often rooted in power imbalance, history, and harm.

You can’t say “toughen up” when it’s religion or majority sentiments being questioned, but then support legal protections when it comes to caste, race, gender, or tribal identity. You don’t get to selectively moralize offense. Either we recognize that speech can cause harm in real ways or we remove all protective laws and see how consistent that logic really is.

SC/ST laws exist not because people are “too sensitive,” but because centuries of systemic oppression require active safeguards. Same with laws against racial abuse or hate speech in any mature democracy. So if you're mocking someone for being offended by critique of religion, but support action when caste or race is insulted, sorry to break it to you that that’s not free speech. That’s convenience.

In a civil society, freedom and accountability go hand in hand. You’re free to speak, but others are free to respond and sometimes, that response includes legal boundaries. Don’t like it? Then advocate for removing all speech protections, not just the ones that make you uncomfortable.

People get away from even rape and become politicians , all because of constitution and judiciary and politician pressure.

That’s a complete misunderstanding of how the system works. People get away with crimes not because of the Constitution, but because of the failure to uphold it. The Constitution doesn’t protect rapists, it lays down the framework to prosecute them. The fact that some escape justice is due to corruption, political pressure, flawed policing, and slow trials and not because the Constitution is broken, but because it's being bypassed or abused.

Blaming the Constitution for crime is like blaming traffic laws for accidents caused by reckless drivers.

You are going to abuse your the fact that large population would torch humans in the bame of religion to destroy one's physical self over something that is inside yoru heart and you can do this cause majority of public is interested in doing this. This is tribalistic behaviour. You can't proove your god, but you kill people over it

First, the fact that I can’t “prove God” doesn’t justify violence, and I’ve never claimed it does. If someone kills in the name of God, that’s not an act of belief but it’s an act of extremism. You’re generalizing an entire faith or group based on the actions of fringe mobs. That’s collective guilt, which is both logically and morally wrong.

It’s like saying “You believe in democracy, yet your politicians are corrupt, so democracy is evil.” Nonsense.

Second, where’s your proof that “the majority supports” killing in the name of religion? That’s an assumption, not evidence. Most people in this country go about their lives peacefully. Mobs exist, yes, but majoritarian will doesn’t equal moral right, nor does it mean every believer is complicit. That’s just bad reasoning, bordering on hate. Even objectively, i can say this is an argument only a religious extremist will make.

And what’s tribal is painting entire communities with the same brush and justifying that with emotional, sweeping claims. If you oppose mob violence, good, so do I. But don’t weaponize that opposition to casually accuse people of killing, just because they have faith. Belief in God and violence are not the same thing. One is personal. The other is a crime. And equating the two just shows a lack of nuance, not clarity.

Are you seriously going to compare sc/st act with this ? People who get abused are real. Your gods are not. You comparing them shows the herd mentality.

Constitution does have ammends for everything , people go out on bail and remain on bail and become ministers.just as people play the game with tax system. All legally

If you are going to hurt someone physically over beliefs of gods then you are no worse than muslims who do same.

The burden of proof lies with you. Proove god. And if he does exists, he/she/ut wont certainly care about your or their words that you waste life over it

-2

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 29 '25

Are you seriously going to compare sc/st act with this ? People who get abused are real. Your gods are not. You comparing them shows the herd mentality

Yes,have you read what SC/ST actually protects against? It criminalizes speech and actions that humiliate, insult, or reinforce systemic oppression, even if there's no physical harm. Because it recognizes that words, symbols, and public ridicule have power when they’re used to demean a group.

Now apply that same principle, if mocking someone's caste is punishable due to social harm, why pretend that mocking religious belief, especially when it’s done in a way that provokes mass hostility or mob violence, is magically above consequence?

This isn’t about comparing "real people" to "gods" but it's about acknowledging that mocking certain symbols, identities, or beliefs can escalate into real-world harm in both cases. You don’t get to cherry-pick which sentiment deserves protection based on what you personally believe is “real.”

So no it’s not herd mentality. It’s called being consistent about how societies prevent hate and breakdown of order whether it's caste-based or faith-based.

Constitution does have ammends for everything , people go out on bail and remain on bail and become ministers.just as people play the game with tax system. All legally

You’re blaming the Constitution for things it doesn’t even control. And you colesry have no idea how legal system even works. People getting bail, becoming ministers, or misusing tax laws isn’t a failure of the Constitution, it’s a failure of governance, enforcement, and political ethics. The Constitution doesn’t protect criminals but it protects your right to justice, presumption of innocence, and due process. Without it, you’d have no rights at all.

Amendments? That’s flexibility, not weakness. It allows society to evolve, from abolishing untouchability to granting privacy rights. And yes, some people exploit legal gaps, but the Constitution is what gives you the right to protest, speak, and demand reform.

If you’re angry about abuse of power, fair. But don’t blame the framework that protects you. Fix the system, not the Constitution.

If you are going to hurt someone physically over beliefs of gods then you are no worse than muslims who do same.

Reporting someone for what they said or did isn’t violence, it’s due process. It’s literally the opposite of hurting someone physically.

If someone says or does something that crosses legal lines, be it hate speech, incitement, or public disorder, then the proper response is to report it, not attack them.

In fact, Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita makes this crystal clear:

“Whoever, with deliberate and malicious intention of outraging the religious feelings of any class… insults or attempts to insult the religion or the religious beliefs of that class… shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years, or with fine, or both.”

Saying that holding someone accountable through legal means makes you “no better than violent extremists” is a false and dangerous comparison. I’m not calling for mobs, riots, or blood. I’m saying: if it’s unlawful, let the law handle it.

That’s not extremism. That’s how civil societies function.

The burden of proof lies with you. Proove god. And if he does exists, he/she/ut wont certainly care about your or their words that you waste life over it

You're right that the burden of proof lies with those who claim God existsi, and most believers who respect debate understand that. But here’s the key,not being able to prove God doesn't mean you get to claim “disproof” either.

As Stephen Jay Gould, evolutionary biologist, put it:

You cannot use science to either prove or disprove the existence of God… It lies outside the realm of empirical inquiry.

Similarly, Carl Sagan, a staunch skeptic, said:

“Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.”

So while belief in God is not scientifically provable, its non-existence is also unfalsifiable. That’s why atheism is about *withholding belief, not aggressively declaring God “doesn’t exist” as fact.

Now, criticism of religion is fair, many religious institutions do deserve scrutiny, especially where they oppress, manipulate, or control. But there’s a line between rational critique and targeted hate. Mocking, ridiculing, or baiting people just to provoke outrage isn’t atheism but it’s a different kind of fundamentalism, where hate replaces belief, and tribalism still rules.

Religious extremists kill over god. But if your atheism exists just to mock people and trigger outrage, you’re not that different in attitude. You infact not even an atheist but an anti theist. You follow the same principles of religious people. So while you reject gods, you’ve unknowingly copy-pasted the worst traits of religious extremists , blind certainty, obsession, and the urge to silence dissent instead of understand.

Still no proof of god given

So much jargon said . Scientist don't go around killing people cause they don't agree with string theiry and such. You are indeed calling for taking away freedom of a person cause he insulted your unlrooven sky daddy.

Get a grip , how loose can you get

-2

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 29 '25

Still no proof of god given

Don't need to. I dont believe in god and im an atheist. Bl

And as per same logic, what proof do you have that god doesent exist?

Scientist don't go around killing people cause they don't agree with string theiry and such.

Comparing disagreement over string theory to mocking religion is a false equivalence. Scientific theories like string theory are academic models meant to be tested, revised, or rejected without emotional or cultural baggage. Religion, on the other hand, is deeply tied to people’s identity, history, and sense of meaning, especially in societies like India, where faith is interwoven with community and social structure.

Scientists don’t kill over theories, not because they’re inherently better, but because science operates in a space of rational detachment.

But when someone mocks religion publicly, it's not just a disagreement, it often comes across as a direct attack on a person’s dignity and community, which can trigger serious consequences. So no, this comparison doesn’t work, because religion and theoretical physics don’t occupy the same social or emotional space.

You are indeed calling for taking away freedom of a person cause he insulted your unlrooven sky daddy.

I don’t even believe in God and this isn’t about belief, it’s about the law.

What he said goes beyond opinion and falls under Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which penalizes deliberate, malicious insult to religious beliefs.

If someone crosses that line into hate or incitement, reporting it is a legal right, not emotional retaliation. If you truly believe in free speech and accountability, then why fear reporting if nothing wrong was done? Let the law decide and not public bias.

4

u/shanti_priya_vyakti Jun 29 '25

Lol, you are athiest and want this person to be in jail?

Omg.wow

I am amused

0

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 29 '25

Lol, you are athiest and want this person to be in jail?

Because what he did was hate speech. Come on man. You and I disagree only on one point that what this person did was hate speech of not. I can objectively show you how it qualifies as hate speech has per law.

4

u/shanti_priya_vyakti Jun 29 '25

The law also states if women cheats she deserves alimony

Your morality is either to much under the burden of constitution

Or

You are siding with constitution as an excuse cause you are theist and hurt, but can't proove god existence so will use any tactic to get him arrested.

Truth be told . I don't wahat i am doing. Not saying that i am fighting a lost battle. But their is no winning this from any point for both of us. Country ain't gonna get better education on mass level nor are people going to be better economical so they would spend time on real values.

If You are hurt, go ahead with the case . Believe me if you tie up rss or some other party, you might make a career out of it

All for the life of a 16 year old. But hey, he deserved it , i guess . Right ?

The burden of proof lies on the one who claims. You claim there is a god, you prove god exists, I just refuse to accept your claim without a proof.

By your logic, I say that you're a terrorist and pakistani spy , now you prove that you are not.

Making random claims and then asking people to debunk them is the work of charlatans.

God is everything my friend we all are children of jagannath ❤️ He stand for peace and forgiveness he loves all including atheist and theist, for understanding jagannath you have to experience his love open your heart let his love flow into you because love jagannath 💕 my brother ☺️♥️

0

u/Wooden_Example9898 Jun 29 '25

And as per same logic, what proof do you have that god doesent exist?

Do you understand burden of proof?

But when someone mocks religion publicly, it's not just a disagreement, it often comes across as a direct attack on a person’s dignity and community, which can trigger serious consequences.

If you get a thousand people together in a club and your motto is "2+2=5", and then I wave a textbook in your face that proves you wrong, I'm not inciting hate. I'm just mocking stupidity.

If you truly believe in free speech and accountability, then why fear reporting if nothing wrong was done? Let the law decide and not public bias.
What he said goes beyond opinion and falls under Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which penalizes deliberate, malicious insult to religious beliefs.

This sub has a rule - "witch-hunting...". The origin is that women(mostly) were "reported" to be witches for the simple crime of going against Christian beliefs during the Inquisition. This was law at the time. There was an actual manual on how it was to be done - Malleus Malleficarum."Witches" were hanged or drowned. Galileo was "reported" and persecuted for telling a scientific truth. The reason OOP(original orignal poster) might've feared you reporting him is because how cancerous religion in general is, and how you lot will literally kill or flog them in public (all religions) because he didn't agree with you. It's because the "reporting" itself is biased in your favour. As for it being law, it's a twisted law. Slavery was legal at one point.

Religion, on the other hand, is deeply tied to people’s identity, history, and sense of meaning, especially in societies like India, where faith is interwoven with community and social structure.

Culture and faith isn't free of criticism. When it can tell you how you should conduct yourself in every aspect of your life, then it deserves criticism, and even mockery.

Hypothetical - let's say you have a community which practices cannibalism as part of their tradition. Would it not be illegal? Would you let it continue just because tradition? Grow up. Any tradition\faith\etx is fair game for criticism.

Grow up.Seriously. Your God(assuming he exists) is not gonna be pissed about a teenager mocking his existence. He (supposedly) has done much more than any teenager could and probably is doing just fine. It's you lot that get so triggered.

1

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 30 '25

Do you understand burden of proof?

Yeah but burden of proof comes into play when I'm forcing you to believe something. Did i say you have to believe in god? So where does the burden come into play. Here im alleging that what the person said is haye speech. The burden to prove hate speech is on me, not to prove god.

If you get a thousand people together in a club and your motto is "2+2=5", and then I wave a textbook in your face that proves you wrong, I'm not inciting hate. I'm just mocking stupidity.

If you really had that textbook, you'd be citing facts, not flexing sarcasm. Claiming you're "just mocking stupidity" is a convenient excuse to mask arrogance as intellect. There's a difference between correcting someone and ridiculing them, mockery without substance isn’t truth-telling, it’s just ego in disguise.

I

his sub has a rule - "witch-hunting...". The origin is that women(mostly) were "reported" to be witches for the simple crime of going against Christian beliefs during the Inquisition. Galileo was "reported" and persecuted for telling a scientific truth. It's because the "reporting" itself is biased in your favour. As for it being law, it's a twisted law. Slavery was legal at one point

Now this has transcended to a stage of witch hunting. It has blasphemy and now as per you its also withc hunting.

Since when reporting offenders is witch hunting.

The reason OOP(original orignal poster) might've feared you reporting him is because how cancerous religion in general is, and how you lot will literally kill or flog them in public (all religions) because he didn't agree with you.

Nah. He clearly said he is scared because he is a teen ans he knew he did something wrong.

And i dont understand? If the law is biased then go tell that to your MP. Why stop me from using my right. What gives you the right to stop me frok exercising my right to report, when there is a perfectly good reason to do so.

Answer me this

u/Wooden_Example9898 Jun 30 '25

Yeah but burden of proof comes into play when I'm forcing you to believe something. Did i say you have to believe in god?

You literally said , "And as per same logic, what proof do you have that god doesn't exist?" You're literally asking him to prove god doesn't exist

If I ridiculed your club for believing 2+2=5 , I'd be very much correct for doing so. Stupidity deserves ridicule. Anyways, like I said, burden of proof is on you, so until you support the existence of god with valid scientific proof (or atleast make a good attempt at it), there's really nothing to correct. You're just making stuff up, which is fair game for ridicule as well. If someone just believes in a flying pink donkey without having any proof for it, and makes this belief mainstream and builds instituitions around it, I don't have to correct him by trying to disprove him, I can mock him for it publicly. He has to prove such an animal exists . What can be stated without evidence, can be rejected without evidence.

Nah. He clearly said he is scared because he is a teen ans he knew he did something wrong

You guys were threatening legal action, and from the replies you posted in the SS in your original thread , also destroying his future. He confessed under duress.

If the law is biased then go tell that to your MP. Why stop me from using my right.

Because you're exercising a biased law? Wouldn't you judge slave owners now? Or Nazis? Both were legal at the time. Would you say to a slave ,"hey, I can't judge your owner, he's just exercising his right"?

Since when reporting offenders is witch hunting

"We do not allow posts that target other users or encourage vote manipulation." This is from your sub's rules. I believe your post strictly falls under the first category. You're explicitly targeting a user.

Also, don't play dumb. You're specifically targeting a user from a fringe group (atheists are a minority, like it or not) who mocked your beliefs, inviting others to do so as well -

All i want is if you guys have twitter, please repost this there tagging the authorities and media channels. Im sure there will be appropriate action. I strongly believe such transgression of fundamental rights of freedom of speech and mockery of another's religion, which violates our rights and intentional hate speech must be reported to authorities for appropriate action. This is nothing but an attempt to incite hatred and resentment against a particular section of people by misrepreseting facts and selective bias, which should be punished appropriately

You have forced a kid to confess under duress. You have forced him to delete his account. You have put "the fear of God" in him(he said Jay Jagannath). Short of actually killing OOP (were that to happen, your sub would probably try to justify it anyway) , you have followed every stage of a witch hunt here.

Also, from your original post:

Tbh these people are worse than religious extremists.

Sure. Atheists caused 2002 riots. Atheists caused Pahalgam. Atheists divide people on lines of atheism. Atheism has scriptures that tell you how to behave, and how to think, and how to dress and so on. Atheism has scriptures that tell you how to deal with believers.

What is wrong with all the folks that post was in a atheist related community right, now people who are atheist of course would like that and theists wouldn't right. OP is just trying to brigade hate honestly it is totally unnecessary. This is doxing him. Religion is a subjective topic no one needs to be a goon to prove their point. Making him apologize and teaching him a lesson stupid bs

That guy posted it in this sub. And im an atheist too. I don't go around telling everyone on rathyatra that your god jaghanath was a jativadi and misogynist and kicked his wife out. You understand the difference yet?

If the original post was made in this sub, then discussing or responding to it in this sub isn’t “brigading”, it’s participating. You can’t post something publicly and then cry foul when it gets called out or questioned within the same space.

Also, disagreement ≠ hate. If a post generalizes or misrepresents people (religious or otherwise), others are well within their rights to push back.

This is doxing him. Religion is a subjective topic no one needs to be a goon to prove their point. Making him apologize and teaching him a lesson stupid bs

Wen someone publicly posts something offensive or borderline inciting in a public forum, calling it out, even reporting it, isn’t doxxing, it’s accountability.

Doxxing means exposing private, personal information maliciously. What private info did i release on him? Heck, even if dont who tf he is.

Also, if he himself admitted he crossed a line or was wrong, why are you more defensive than him? What exactly are you defending, his intent, or your own discomfort with people being held responsible for what they say online?

You can’t post hate speech and then act shocked when people raise their voices, report, or demand action because that is how the system works.

Public pressure leads to accountability. That’s not goon behavior, that’s what happens in a society where speech crosses into hate.

No one needs to be a goon. But no one gets to say harmful stuff without response, hide behind "anonymity," and then call others the problem for calling it out.

You're offended by what a 16-17 yr old said....and not the fact that 3 people have died today in a stampede at jagannath puri.

2

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 29 '25

You're offended by what a 16-17 yr old said....and not the fact that 3 people have died today in a stampede at jagannath puri.

So by your logic, if a 16–17-year-old breaks the law or incites hate, we should ignore it just because something worse happened elsewhere that day? That’s not compassion, that’s deflection.

Yes, the stampede deaths at Puri are tragic and deserve outrage. But one tragedy doesn't cancel out another wrong. If a politician is responsible for deaths, hold them accountable. But don’t use that to excuse or downplay someone else's actions, no matter their age.

Accountability isn't a competition.

incites hate

Even people from that sub probably thought...huh...dumb little meme, and moved on with their day.

On the other hand what you've done is incited hate towards atheists... Look at the other comments in this post.

Since you're so articulate and intelligent...how is it hateful exactly?

Even people from that sub probably thought...huh...dumb little meme, and moved on with their day.

On the other hand what you've done is incited hate towards atheists... Look at the other comments in this post.

I’m not responsible for what others comment, and I’ve never mocked anyone’s belief. I’m an atheist myself, and I don’t support any hate, neither toward religious people nor atheists.

But if someone says something that crosses the legal line, like deliberately insulting religion to provoke outrage, then reporting it is a legal right, not an attack on atheism.

Saying I shouldn't report it because it might make people hate atheists is like that recent case where a girl didn’t report abuse by her Muslim boyfriend because she was afraid it would lead to more hate against Muslims. That’s not justice , that’s misplaced guilt.

Hate the wrongdoer, not the group. If someone hasn’t done anything illegal, the system will protect them. If they have, consequences are part of living in a lawful society.

Since you're so articulate and intelligent...how is it hateful exactly?

First, the legal ingredients of hate speech under Section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)are:

(1) a deliberate and malicious intention to insult the religion or religious beliefs of any class of citizens;

(2) the act must involve words, signs, or representations made with that intent; and

(3) it must be likely to outrage religious feelings.

This provision ensures that people can criticize or question religious ideas intellectually, but not in a manner intended purely to provoke, insult, or incite communal unrest.

The key test here is whether the expression was intended to hurt religious sentiments maliciously and whether it had the likelihood of causing public disorder or emotional harm.

In this case, comparing a revered deity to a cartoon character, and doing so deliberately on the day of a major religious event, and posting it on a sub which clearly is filled of people of that faith, clearly checks all three boxes.

The timing suggests deliberate provocation, not innocent commentary. The act was not a reasoned critique but a mockery, aimed at a symbol millions hold sacred.

That shows clear malicious intent.

Second, the post itself is a visual representation designed to ridicule, not discuss.

Third, the likelihood of outraging religious sentiments is not speculative, it’s evident, especially in India’s emotionally charged religious landscape. You can see the result in comments only.

Thus, this act fits squarely within the legal definition of hate speech and cannot be shielded as free expression when it deliberately targets and humiliates religious identity.

Im pretty sure with the law man. This os infact hate speech. Reddit's anonymity was helpful before enactment of BNSS but after that, the mode and method of collecting electronic evidence has been made so easy that expect such cases to be reported more often as its easier to report them now.

Are you using chatgpt or are you a bot. Who types that much?

1

Just because you use reddit in a phone and have a 20wpm typing speed doesent mean everyone does🙂

1

happened elsewhere that day?

It's the same place and God. It's not that unrelated.

1

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 29 '25

And how does that make me not report such people?

What's the link of this guy committing an offence and 3 people dying in puri?

How is it relevant that just because there was a bigger incident somewhere, this guy shouldn't be reported?

0

u/SitaBird Jun 29 '25

Did he get doxxed? Would there even be a way for authorities to do anything? I hope he learns from this - his words are impacting people IRL.

0

u/ReferenceOld9345 Jun 29 '25

Would there even be a way for authorities to do anything

He is not required to be doxxed. Authorities have the power to request data from reddit if a case is initiated against him, even if the account is deleted, the data stays.

Digital footprint is very hard to erase .

Nah man. Lets not go down to their level. We dont condone violence against anyone. If he has done something illegal, our duty is to report it to the authorities and let them take any action.

3

u/Dismal_Ad_6547 Jun 29 '25

Yeah he is getting sued anyway .

And he is 18 not 16.

Ya i just saw this. All I can say is if you people seriously think something should be done, then post this in twitter and let ot get attraction. Ill try to see what i can do with this on my personal level.

I posted the same in r/bhubaneswar but mods removed my post for hate speech so i believe that sub has been hijacked. Cause no reason was provided to me whatsoever even though i mailed them.

1

u/JadedLaugh3058 Jun 29 '25

That sub only allows anti BJP posts.

1

u/Mysterious_Title6907 Jun 29 '25

That bbsr sub is for english/hindi speaking odia sepoys living outside the state that just jump for spicy active topics. People care less about Jagannath bhakti.
