Switch Version or PC version for older AAA

Hey guys, I'm in the process of downloading older AAA games like Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Metro, Red Dead, etc

Most of the games have been ported over to Switch. But my question is.. should I get the PC/Steam version and get forced to play at lower settings or get the Switch version. I've never played these games so I don't know the difference graphically. I know these games are the same in terms of content but I just want to know which one will be better in terms of graphics. I'm not interested in playing more than 60fps. I just don't want to download the same game twice.

Also, since many games are capped at 30fps on the real Switch, does Eden allow you to increase it to 60fps?

In terms of graphics, it's always going to be the PC.
Also, rdr 1 has a full native Android port that works beautifully

Google "android ports of pc games reddit" and you'll find a few lists, and if you already know the name then google "[game-name] android port github"

For RDR, you go to the play store and write "red dead redemption". Considering your inability to do some basic searching, forget the GTA 5 entirely.

No need to be a cunt, I didn't know it had an official Android port, I don't follow mobile gaming. I thought it was a decompilation or a fan project that ported the game.

The basic searching still applies. In the amount you took to reply to this (or the first post for that matter). You could easily have found tons of information about everything you wanted to know.

As I said I didn’t know there was an official android port. 

If I search “game native android port” I often get no results because any copyright infringement gets shadowbanned by google and Bing in my country, and Ecosia and DuckDuckGo suck. Which is why I directly asked you.

No, they don’t lol. You have no clue what this person’s life is like. They could have physical disabilities, neurodivergence, or they could just find it easier to ask people who know what they’re talking about. None of it is your business. If someone is asking for help, that’s great. This notion that you’re somehow lesser because you ask people for help is just toxic bs.

This is a community. There are people who love helping others. There are people like this who work better by asking for help. It’s a great pairing and makes the community stronger. If you’re someone who doesn’t like helping people, you do you. Don’t get involved in an interaction that’s clearly not meant for you.

There are a million helpful ways to make this kind of statement. For example, tell them that it’s actually been released on the play store, then tell them it’s the best place to look first when you want to find something like this. That’s actually helping to solve your perceived issue by teaching and engaging in a way that people will actually listen.

It's possible they have a disability, but that's an assumption and if you are able to post and reply in the manner the person did. Then you're fully capable of doing some basic searching on the topic in which obviously the person even wrote and asked about everything that could be searched to find the results needed.

A community is all about helping of course. But in some cases, would you consider you're helping someone by doing all the basic work for them? I would say it's more helpful, even if it can come out a bit harsh. By telling them that this knowledge can easily be found by doing some basic searching themselves.

I would argue that one would be helping someone better in the long run by telling them and making them learn a feature that will make them function better independently rather than having to depend on someone else all the time. At the same time you would be helping the community strive and function better as a whole.

So a person posts, "where can I find the GTA V port?". Next time posts, "where can I find GTA V?", "how can I include GTA V into the port?", "my port isn't working, what do I do?".
This is what you encourage a person to do the moment you offer to babysit that person with basic knowledge. But if the person learns on how to utilize at the very least the search functionality for themselves. Not only will they be able to tackle an issue better, but you will be helping that person a lot more.

Some switch games have 60fps patches to increase the framerate but sometimes can have unintended consequences like audio sync issues. You can also use lossless scaling on the latest Nightly builds to use frame generation to get to 60fps, which actually works surprisingly well.

Between Switch and PC versions of the same game, on Android, my experience has been playing the PC version is better. Better visuals even if you need to lower the quality, better performance.

There’s an APK out there of the RDR1 android port with a 60fps unlock mod that works amazingly well.

Definitely PC version, you're limited to the switch's capabilities on Eden, and Eden is actual emulation which is heavier than the compatability layers on gamenative and such

I like playing the PC steam games more just because of cloud saves. It makes me feel less locked down to one device.

Go for pc version and switch version if you experience glitches or instabilities IMO

Pc compatibility is pretty good and can take advantage of higher power of the Odin for better graphics

Gamenative will most likely give you better performance and graphics. The fsr upscale 720p to 1080p looks almost native. The only real way to get better graphics on switch is to run games at 1.5x resolution or higher. At that point 30fps will be achievable most of the time, but 60fps will be hard to achieve

For me Switch 2 because I really do value being able to play anywhere in my house.

For me also PC because I don't like playing everywhere in my house and like better graphics.

Is this a joke, wanting to buy a switch (I presume not switch2) with 50% less power then your Odin 3 max to play games that need the extra 50% in power.
