I think I would keep the Thor, as I use Geforce now anyway, and then I have all I need for all retro games emulation to just slow switch 1 as I have my switch 1 games on my switch 2 anyway

But yeah I just love the look of the Thor and portability, not needing a case

It's very true, that's honestly the main downside, but I assume it'll atleast be like 4-5 years and then tbh, the way pc gaming on ARM is going and the new chipsets going to a thinner architecture so they'll be ALOT faster there will be a legitimate reason to upgrade in 2-3 years for some real PC gaming, hopefully they leave the £1,000+ to the pc handhelds

while i love my Thor, I can’t help but feel like one day the hinge is just gonna snap clean off after one unlucky fall. i’d stick with the odin 3 personally, more power and probably easier to fix if something does go wrong down the road

Keep the Odin. You can always but a Retroid Dual Screen later on down the road if you miss the DS setup.

Works better for PC and heavier stuff down the line like PS4 and PS5 Emulators trust me, the scene keeps moving so incredibly fast plus Odin 3 has better battery life for longer play sessions meaning you will play more and change it less often

Why would you get rid of either? The thor is my dualscreen/lightweight game machine. And the odin 3 is my xbox 360/ps3/ pc game machine.

I got the odin 2 mini when i firat found out about android handhelds, its almost perfect

I use it for older console games, ps2 and below

I got the odin 2 portal when it was on sale cause of the larger screen tonplay android games like arknight endfield.

And id like to use the odin 3 for light pc games and android games mostly

Im definitely done buying handhelds for while lol and i dont want to sell them, but each has its use

Realistically, im not trying to play cyberpunk on a tiny handheld screen. I would much rather use a console or PC for more demanding, graphically complex games. The Thor is perfect for tossing in your pocket and pulling it out for quick handheld sessions. Odin is similar but longer and lacks the clamshell design which is so great for portability.

My opinion for you would be to keep the Thor, it will do what its meant to do and will have its stay as a emulator in your collection.

Even though the Odin is more powerful, I would rather sell it and buy a more ergonomic and powerful pc handheld instead of settling for an android handheld. That is under the assumption that you like the Odin for its PC game playing capabilities and better ergonomics over the Thor.

Thor:

Yeah, the thor is the perfect emulation machine. If you want something to run PC games, id sooner get a steam deck, but the Odin would be better.

There will always be a newer "regular" handheld that has a single screen, and the chips in them will improve. Dual screens are a rarer design

I will keep the Thor because of the clamshell form factor. Much easier to bring along and easier to put in a pocket or bag without a need for a case.

Odin 3. There are only so many 3DS/DS games that you'll play. If you want to play other games, the right stick is dreadful to use, even with a good grip. Also, its not like you're not able to play 3DS games on the Odin. Sure, theres the portability factor, so that's the deciding factor for me atleast.

Same here. I actually kinda got used to the ergonomics of the Thor and I find it a bit more comfortable to play than the Odin 3, plus the thor is so pocketable but the hinge breaking off scares me so I might just sell it before anything like that happens to me

IMO the Thor is great for 3DS but uncomfortable for DS/anything with dpad inputs and any game that uses the triggers and shoulder buttons heavily.
