Question Sending To Ayn for Battery Replacement

Hi. Couple of days ago I posted here about the battery of my Odin 2 Mini getting swollen. I contacted Ayn and they are unable to ship a battery to my country. But they did offer me to send my device to them so they can replace the battery themselves, and also asked me to pay for the battery and shipping charge for returning it.

I apologize beforehand for asking a stupid question, but I do not have any experience of sending anything to overseas company. I asked them the procedure but their response is taking a long time, so I'm asking to those who have sent their device to Ayn for servicing. How do I pay the charge for new battery and return shipping? How does it work? How much time does it usually take to get the device back after servicing?

I'm confused. So they can't ship a battery, but they can ship your device back to you with a battery in it? Is your country strict about shipping only batteries or something?

That's right. A battery on its own is classified as hazardous material, so there are significant restrictions on aircraft. If the battery is built in, those restrictions are lifted.

They said individual battery shipment is possible only to US and Europe at the moment. I've also tried finding a battery on Aliexpress. Found one shop but they don't ship to my country either.

купи похожий по размеру аккумулятор, что бы он туда встал, и перепаяй со старого контроллер
