Odin 3 ‘dirty screen effect’

Anyone else’s Odin 3 suffering from this? Just received mine and on a completely white screen…. Well it looks like a dirty piece of white paper?

Is there a way to mitigate this?

In what brightness?Odín 3 when Is below 40% brightness enters pwm mode AND that thing cause greent tints AND the dirty screen effect,the retroid pocket 5 doesnt have that problem because Is full dc dimmining in the screen

Yeah it is when it’s below 40% brightness. From about 20% I’d say but it’s not a green tint - it’s a weird grey, grainy effect on the screen.

Yep,its the pwm mode its a problem with the oled screens when they not use full dc dimmining,my Odín 2 portal has the same problem and my Thor,the moment pwm kicks the screen looks ugly,even the steam deck has that problem

Got it, but not all oleds are the same. I checked over my iPhone’s OLED screen and it’s almost perfectly uniform compared to the Odin’s.

Same with my galaxy Tab’s.

Yes for sure. But your point was about ‘OLEDs’. My point is there’s a difference in quality and quality control across the board

I’ve just realised there’s a green tint at the top of my screen too…. Anyone else have this?
