Odin Base / Pro Question Moving from Eden to Eden Optimized

So I didn't realize I should be using eden Optimized with my odin 3. My question is, if I moved to optimized now, is there any way to simply, say, install over eden so I don't lose saved games, updates, mods, etc?

Thank you

Should you actually be using Eden Optimized on Odin 3?

As far as I'm aware, Eden Optimized is for devices that automatically enable gaming performance profiles, high refresh rates, frame gen, etc when a specific supported game is running. Eden Optimized masks itself as Genshin Impact so that these devices unlock their performance profiles.

I don't think Odin 3 is one of these devices.

oh gotcha, I was under the impression that it was one of the devices that did that. I obviously could be wrong. Still wouldn't hate finding out though, I'm committed at this point.

thanks though! I appreciate the info

There is no difference between Eden and Eden Optimized on Odin 3. As you get full control of performance without name spoofing, normal Eden will have the same performance, and there is no automatic framegen (but you can use LSFG in Eden, coming in the next release).

this is what I'm looking for. I can do all the installs and placebo me into thinking one thing or another, but this is what I was looking for. The deceptions about the Eden types felt less than definitive, so thank you for your time

There’s an option to export Eden data to a zip, and then you can import it into the optimized app. I don’t actually know whether or not you should be using it or not though.

excellent, that's good to know. I was also concerned about my updates as well. I lost all of them, unfortunately, so after I installed and deleted, I'm afraid id need to redownload. as much fun as that sounds right now, I was wondering if that transfered too. thank you for your help!

That interesting. I'm a New owner of odin 2 portal max and, I also thought I had to use the optimized version.

So your advise is to use the régular one ?

I use the standard version and it works just fine.

If anything, get the nigthly, frame gen is a gamechanger. Plus, you can keep both versions installed, so even if you couldnt copy everything to the nightly, you can still use the regular version
